Catalyst Charge - Bug report

Dear reader,

By advice of the Game master I spoke to I bring this to the forums.
Sadly enough, I can’t post this in the US version of the forums, because I don’t have a level 10 characters on the servers there. EU forums don’t have a bug report. So I post it here.

Yesterday after the weekly reset, my catalyst quest was already ready to turn in. I didn’t think anything of it and completed my quest.
Sadly enough I didn’t get a catalyst charge as reward.

I know what you think, you didn’t complete the quest the previous week, your progress was from last week and that is why you only have 2 charges.

Whilst I would normally I agree with that assumption, this isn’t the current case. I catalyst shoulders and legs already (in the previous weeks), meaning this would have been my third charge. But I never received my third charge.

What have I done to check if it was a issue on my end:
Logged out and in, with and without addons.
Logged to alts to see if they can do the quest.
Did mythic dungeons x4 + raid to see if that would atleast complete the progress.

Response from the GM:
Checking over everything here, I do see that you did complete weekly quest three times and was only able to use the Revival Catalyst twice.

I know it is certainly not ideal to be missing out on your chance to upgrade an item to keep up to pace with everyone else. >_<

After taking a dive into our reports, I wasn’t able to find any verified issues or bugs with this or the mechanics behind it. While I’m afraid that we Game Masters here in CS are not able to simply grant an extra charge, reset the quest, or anything like that, I have passed along a report. If the problem persists, I suggest submitting a bug report on your end as well so that we can get some more eyes on this.

Unfortunately CS do not deal with bugs nor do they pass on bug reports. For the EU we report bugs in game.

Reporting a Bug

Many are confused about the US bug report forum. Technically you can post on the US bug report forum but you’d need to set up a US starter account on your existing bnet and then level a character to 10. This would then have posting rights courtesy of your EU subscription on the account.

I am also missing Catalyst charges. Did the quest every week, but my main is already missing 2 charges, last week and this week.
My alts only miss one. The alts did not get a charge last week, but they did this week.

For the second week in a row, my main hasnt recieved a charge. I completed the quest on the main. Some Alts did not have a charge last week (and hadnt spend one as well), but they did have one this week. This is not the visual bug, when I place an item the convert button is grayed out and cannot be pressed. Im starting to get behind now on my main and on 2 of my alts which I use regurlarly. A blue response would be nice…

Made a bug report, a ticket and replied in that thread I just linked, but besides some Bot-responses on my ticket, I havent heard anything from Blizz confirming this as an actual problem.

I hope you are well today, I’m Game Master Faroufekks, I want to thank you for your patience during the wait time. I understand you had a Revival Catalyst charge issue.

I get it can be frustrating if something isn’t working in-game as you expected it to, especially if that’s affecting your character and gearing progression.

Thanks for reporting your issue with the Revival Catalyst quest, we’ve been looking into that from other reports. Though currently we Game Masters have no workaround for this. https://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/000331375

To help our Bugs (QA) team look into this further with their ongoing investigation you can report this directly to them by the in-game Bug Report feature. They monitor all in-game issues for verifying them and work with our Developers for sorting the verified ones. ESC > Support > ‘Submit Feedback or Bug Report’ > ‘Bug Report’

Hopefully they’ll sort the remaining issues soon and in the meantime you can continue your epic adventures through the Dragon Isles.
