Catching up is horrible

Since u gave up on SoD anyway,
Make every raid items pre-naxx available in the Coin Store.
And make every dungeon boss drop 3 coins + make them account bind.

Stop spitting on new players and alts.

I don’t even know what that means

neither do you know how awful your suggestion is.

“since its ending anyway, just give me ashbringer in mailbox”

this is essentially what you are saying.

are you dumb, did you even read the post? i’m asking to make it easier to gear up to enter naxx to gear up for SE

its already easy, noob.
get to work like everyone else and stop asking for free stuff.

you can literally craft a whole catchup gear set for nax, with built-in “sanctified” tag and all.

they don’t invite you with that stuff, you prob don’t know that as u get carried by guild.

lmao.
seen plenty of people with the crafted gear in random demon pug runs, so that’s just a lie.

anything below hard mode 4 people will invite pretty much whatever they can get just to get going asap.

if you are aiming for hm4, then yeah no :poop: they aren’t gonna invite you if your gear is garbo.

go do your hm1-2 and get your nax tier gear, then up to hm3-4.

honestly, if you expected SOD to be “just ding 60 and get straight into the newest raid” then all i can say is maybe try to find a cure for the retail brainrot you clearly suffer from.

outlandish af to expect no gear progression to qualify for the end game.

You are not entitiled to jump straight into enclave.

Just do MC then BWL then AQ then naxx, the normal progression

only one with brain rot is you.
I have 6 60s in sod and I hate retail.
what u say might have been correct months ago but not anymore.
people in sod become way more toxic and don’t inv scarlet gear people or people with not high enough gs.
so that’s why I made a post to make it more reasonable to get gear.
especially since less people are doing older content.

It’s all about efficiancy and speed.

People don’t want to carry the low geared anymore

sorry, but i don’t believe a single word.

if you had 6 chars, you’d be more than familiar with how gearing works in this version of wow, and more importantly; you would be more than well aware of just how easy it is to get a char ready for the end game.

you’d be well aware that its not only plausible, but in fact very likely that you can get a full set of naxx tier gear in even a single run of naxx, no matter the difficulty mode.

not a month ago, i went into nax with my crappy geared warlock, and all i had was a mix of sanctified trash gear from various sources, like kara crypts and crafting in order to get the 8/8… and some of it was frost resistance gear…
got full 6p that one raid because nobody needs the tokens and this was a random hm2 pug with 35+ people in the raid.

i have 10 60s… i think, but i can only be arsed to raid with 1

i attempted to join a Pug Naxx Normal run a week or two ago and it had a full scarlet crafted rogue tank with 409 defence stat, that died in 2 seconds…

this is why i stick to the 1 lmao

yeah well obviously a tank role won’t be able to get away with COMPLETE trash gear (because duh, they are the ones taking the damage) but any other role can easily get away with it.

people need a reality check sometimes…

like, example; player is sitting on a fresh 60 DPS rogue with greens and blues with weapons from sunken temple, and you seriously think to yourself “yep, i am ready to raid”?
that’s called delusion… you couldn’t even be bothered to at least spec into tank to improve your chance of getting a spot in any raid or group, while the BIS geared DPS players are a dime a dozen and very abundant and bring more utility than your rogue can.
such a self-own tbh.

its like, to compete in the race you need running shoes, but not only do you not own a pair of running shoes, you are going in barefooted while everyone else has essentially running shoes with rocket engines attached, and you unironically think you’ll have a snowballs chance in hell?

you come to this realization, and instead of doing what everyone else does (gear up to qualify for certain content) you go: “wow super unfair to me. i should be able to raid like everyone else in ANY content in the game!”
of course while glossing over the teeny beeny caveat of NOT PUTTING IN THE SAME EFFORT AND/OR TIME.

I joined PuG Naxx HM2-3 as a freshly Geared Ele Warden not using Scarlet Uniform and did decently well. And that was primarily the starter sanc gear as well. Next week with just 3 pieces of Naxx Gear I joined HM3/4 one, again as a tank although mainly a third offtank. And again did reasonably well.

I was actually going to suggest the opposite.

I think it would be better for the long term health of SoD servers to remove catch up mechanics and let people go through the natural gearing process.

Let long term guild pop up who run weekly MC, BWL, AQ, Naxx etc, SoD will only die faster by the nature that you hit max level, buy a undead 3 set or scarlett gear, sneak into a naxx runs for a few weeks and boom your ready for SE and the game is over again.

If anything I would advocate to remote set gear from the real vendors and instead add rarer one off items like trinkets to them for higher coin limits (like 100 - 200 coins) so that people don’t get burnt out as fast with bad drop RNG.

I 100% get that people just want to blast alts up, get geared, do the cool stuff and dump it, but it seems like a better business decision to put SoD in Long Term Support Mode and create a eco-system that lets new players progress through the game rather than skip 90% of it.

I had to take a few months out for a new job at the end of naxx, coming back to the weekly quest is going to be a nightmare to gear up. Urgh.

You need baseline Naxx to get into SE. Sometimes even downgrade to older tiers depending on how good or bad your T3 was. Most realistically you’ll want 4p T3 and the rest from whatever your best set was before Naxx since 6 piece bonus is useless in SE which doesn’t feature any undead enemies. If you start doing SE and Weeklies you get 2 tokens every three weeks.

play the damn game . Stop spitting on old players and mains

Yup the catch up sucks both for levelling and gearing. Scarlet gear was a nice help but it’s already stigmatised to use that set in the community. Naxx still requiring an expensive attunement already puts new players at a disadvantage. Especially since the scourge invasions you farm for rep are frequently bugged to hell and back and nobody ever seems to make groups in the non-EPL zones unless it’s to boost rich people.

Ultimately I’m kinda glad SoD is dying, the punishment for not sticking with it is pretty harsh, it’s very much a ‘too late to start’ game mode.

Also the gear on the coin vendor is all trash right now, only the tier 2 weapon is worth picking up and you’ll be vendoring it in no time. At least put full tier 2 on there so you can mix/match with sanctified gear from the invsions (If they ever work again).
