CC's insanely dumb durations

Good evening.

So… Anything going to be done about the complete state of CC? I just played a BGB vs 2 MM Hunters, a Lock, a Warrior, a Monk, and a Shaman. Now I’m not even kidding, I was CC’ed one after the other, constant roots, stuns, fears, coil, more roots, pushback, more push back. I mean what made you think this would be fun to deal with?

It’s not fun, it’s the most annoying thing about this game, and it’s CONSTANT. I mainly play BGB because I prefer it, and do enjoy it. But you know what ruins it? Constant CC throughout the game.

Now let me tell you, there’s NOTHING fun about being continuously CC’ed for a stupid amount of time, it’s just plain dumb. Does DR exist? unbloody likely. It seems DR is completely non-existent.

How about share DR with many other forms of CC? How about stop this complete craptrain of CC?

IT, IS, NOT, FUN, TO, BE, CONSTANTLY, CC’ED.

Yeah, this is my main gripe with PvP/Battlegrounds. There is just too much CC and quasi CC and it doesn’t make sense why some classes need CC on top of high burst and mobility.

Every spec seems to have 2+ CCs, a root/slow and the CDs of the CC are mostly around 45 secs - 1min.

I get that Blizzard balance PvP around arena, where less players means less CC, but in BGs the CC spam is insane and you trinket one CC only to get hit by another. Watching your character not be able to move isn’t fun.

I only notice it on spammable CC like Cheap Shot, Fear, poly etc. Otherwise DR feels meaningless, and in a BG you will die long before it takes effect.

Personally I wish Blizzard would prune CC and increase the CD of it. If CC is needed in PvE (I wouldn’t know), then just make some CCs only work on NPCs.

Stop crying. You have a one minute cooldown on trinket as a healer.
Take advantage of that and use it.

Know what’s more fun? Is being spam cheapshotted and garrote silenced, and finished off with a cute gouge.

CC in general at the moment needs a massive look at. Including some of these slows.

I don’t even know what to trinket anymore because a lot of things can get reapplied almost immediately after trinketing.

Blame Blizzard and players for whining about healing.
Less healers means the role becomes more and more important, so it becomes more and more strong, which means if you stay a few seconds more alive, you will undo a lot of work, which leads to people nuking you with CC.
“Ok but that’s unfun”, it is, anyway like I said blame both Blizzard and players.

A stun is pretty much an IWIN button at the moment.

PvP is balanced around shuffle and M+ at the moment, and Blizzard is under the assumption that “balance” means that every spec must be able to do everything, which is why we get ridiculous stuff like demon hunters having a bubble.

The irony coming from the most ridiculous class when it comes to CC. 1 minute CD on trink? It’s 1 minute 30 seconds actually. I’m also talking on behalf of a DPS, which is 2 minutes… Playing a melee vs a MM Hunter is horrific with the amount of roots / control you have.

Yep, as well as DKs constant CC + blank silence.

Not to mention the whole DMG on a CC’d target. Why the hell they allow people to do more DMG on a CC’ed target for it to break. That’s also a dumb change.

The insane number of CCs is related to the current state of healers. The fact that dampening exists in Arenas and Blitz makes one wonder about the state of the healers. Therefore, there are two things they should review.

What about the classes that can one shot people? Which explains why healing is high?

Only a few classes (that should be nerfed) oneshot people xD
