Remove this daily quest. Make it a passive 20% Buff instead, like in previous Anniversary Events.

Was it passive? I seem to recall getting an item in the mail you needed to open and click… hard work that one, especially when you get as much ED and Viágra spam as I do!
You get nothing in the post… you need to fill a bar quest to get the other 10%
I’m aware of that, we were talking about previous years for the buff.
In previous years it was simple: Log in a character, check the mail, collect the Buff and some timewarped badges.

So you have to complete that in order to get the extra 10% every day??
Doesn’t seem worth it. By the time you’ve earnt the 10% buff whatever else you cba doing probably wouldn’t earn you enough rep or xp to make up for the effort of earning it.
I quite liked how this worked. I have several thousand badges, all of them from these packages.
I would log in all my alts and collect them all.
Only way to get badges solo (there really should be more solo options but meh). I guess my days of Timewalking are over.
Here’s a tip, don’t play for 12 hours in a day.
It doesn’t really matter if it is 12 hours/played. The quest is annoying, especially if you play on multiple characters.
I know, I was struggling like crazy with it yestereday, I just wanted to level.
You can fill bar for the quest a small amount by ringing the gong next to chromie.
You can go to Petra where the pet npc’s are playing and open the box next to her and get an item that you can use on your battle pet and then go to the playground and sit in the cauldron for a small amount of % towards quest completion every minute.
It should take 3 events to finish the quest, so 45 minutes, I’ve also heard that you can get 30% towards quest completion by running a timewalking dungeon.

Is it a 12 hour buff?
Still not worth doing it for that.
12 hours of gameplay.
of a 10% buff.
So to be worth it you’d have to earn it in well under 1.2 hours.
With travel time and what not, not sure you’re going to save much.
That’s purely in time effort calculation for the buff itself.
There may be other reasons for doing the Anniversary content. But the 10% is not worth it.
If you wanted to level an alt, an Allied race maybe, or you wanted to make some progress on your Insane title rep grind or such and thought you’d go get this buff to help then you’re wasting your time. Might as well kill 1.2 hours of pirates in Tanaris.

You can just use the pet mirror and go sit in a basket for a few minutes, to get a 12 hour buff.
What. I don’t understand 
Think the bar goes up slightly while you have the buff from the toy and stay a pet. 
So transform, AFK for 10 mins and then repeat, till the bar is full and then you can start playing.
We all already get the 10% buff, the daily adds another 10% making it 20% xp and rep.
And if you got 5 level 80s that’s 45% xp.
