what do you think about lifting the maximum character limit on an account in the case of deceased individuals, essentially ghosts? With the provision that each deceased person would have their own tombstone at the nearest cemetery of their death. However, only until they transition to another realm or are deleted. On the tombstones, there could be engraved the name, play time, and possibly a brief description of the death.

There was a screenshot of Chinese client of WoW: Mists of Pandaria northern island with Undasta boss walking amond manu gravestones like on some cementarty island. Cheneese have strick cultural restrictions of showing bare bones so instead sceletons character leaves gravestone after death. The functionality and model are there.
