Is it me or do the centaurs look bad? The texture quality looks a lot different compared to other textures in DF. It’s a shame because they could look so cool.
The more ‘‘beefy’’ kind looks fine, and I think the male ones in general looks fine as well. Just the females faces that seem… off. It’s a shame, because otherwise they’re a dope model (I mean, just look at the vanilla ones).
yeah the female faces are the worst, they look extremely low poly and almost stretched

Yeah, I don’t understand why the males are so well designed, but the females look so stiff, emotionless, and bland.

That’s called “Pixel Resolution”. And it is lower because the Centaur look mostly the same like most units in the game. The more textures are loaded, the heavier the performance of your PC is hit.
Ofc I do agree there should be a higher fidelity mode for people with much better hardware in WoW, but it is a matter of fact that there are still people with bad hardware (compared to modern standards) that keep holding back the graphics of this game with their systems.
Blizzard after all still wants to have options for those low-end players to play the game.

They did the same thing with the dryads…
The faces just dont match the rest of the game. They should of just kept the more cartoony look IMO.

The updated dryads that had for Legion is faaar superior to the DF ones. Dont even understand why they felt a need to update them again already… the old were true to the originals.

I just think the males are more well done - while the females are low poly and completely emotionless. I like the beefy type however. xD
They have 6 limbs. True insects have 6 limbs. Centaurs = insects.
