chance to get socket on item?
There is a chance items will drop with a socket but otherwise we get them via the vault for specific slots.
It’s like a consolation prize for not getting a upgrade, you get currency you can use with the vendor next to the vault.
Some things can be crafted and have sockets. Necks can also have three sockets added to them. You can make them on JCs or buy them on the AH.

The socket-phobia needs to end. Let’s have more socketed gear like in TBC. Let’s NOT put boring stuff like strength and haste on gems. Let’s have gems with effects or even new spells.
