The title is self-explanatory, I’d love if the gear update feature didn’t have to remove quests and teleport you to the city. I’d love to continue where I left off with some of my alts - or at least check where I left off - instead of abandoning everything, but, I do like the idea of the new gear itself which I’d love to take advantage of.
But as is, I can’t.
And for people saying, that is an option already, no it isn’t. There is no option showing up for me to choose, it might be bugged if it’s intended to be the case already.
Can anyone confirm if they can indeed choose or did they say they want to make the choice available and just… forgot or something?
edit: I was also fairly sure that I was given this option (my character I used this option on has the new gear and what I thought were the old quests are still in the log), but Puny’s recent testing says differently.
I’m not using this feature, even when it might be helpful on an old alt. The giant mess that awaits me regarding quest progress wipe, bags sorted all wrong, my maibox full etc is so offputting that I refuse to engage with it lol.
Having choices as to what you would like, and what you don’t want, would make it a great deal more attractive.
I didn’t even know it cleaned action bars. That’s even worse then…
I don’t mind setting up alts for a minute, but I do require the last state to be there to get situated. I’d rather clean up some stuff myself than lose stuff I’ve set up previously like storylines I’ve been doing, more involved quests I’ve already been progressing, etc.
Frankly it would probably be faster to gear up a long idle alt by doing the intro quests to an expansion or soloing an old raid or two than to try configuring Action Bars from scratch…
