Hi, I’m posting in name of my other account, Pairu#21438, to get some attention of an issue I started having.
I have changed the email of the account from my old provider to a new one, which promptly logged me out of all sessions. This means that when I try to log back in, I have to use my authenticator, which is no longer signed in. When I’m trying to use the SMS code instead, I’m not getting anything.
I think the latter is due to the country code not being included in the account details. Is it possible to change the number to include the country code? Or trigger an SMS to the number with the country code? I’m unable to use the ‘Remove Authenticator’ feature from support as I’m not getting the SMS.
I still have access to both emails.
Thanks in advance.
Hey Chonkiee,
Why aren’t you using your Authenticator? if it’s still the same, you shouldn’t have any issue using it to log back in. You can use either the notifications or a manual code.
If you changed your Authenticator and never updated your account, you would need to create a ticket to have it removed.
As for the country code, there is no need to do anything with it. The country code will correspond to the country registered on your Battle.net account (and you can only register a phone number if it’s valid in your country).
If you changed your phone number at some point, please do mention it in your ticket so that a game master can remove it as well as your Authenticator.
Hy Yryadorne, thanks for the reply.
I’m unable to use the authenticator, not receiving a notification or able to see a manual code. It’s asking me to log in and I have to provide a code to log in to the app. Nor am I receiving a SMS. When I used the “identify my account” feature and filled in my phone number, I did get an SMS telling me what my new email is. I did not change phone number.
I did actually try creating a ticket, before using this account. But somehow it was linked to the account, so I had no way of responding on the ticket. Could you take a look at Issue ID: #98095453? I have provided a lot of info regarding the account.
Thanks again.
