Nah, getting surprised by the cheese can happen to anyone once in a while, but now you’re aware it can happen and next time you see it you might be ready to hammer blurr the moment you see the chakrams come in.
Then someone has to press something for you, or Incap on the hunter and pray noone breaks it, OR hardswap on the hunter and pressure to deny him doing his thing on next chakrams can work aswell. Can be harder than expected though, I’ve died to DHs on my MM in shuffle because people just break them out of the meme scatter root root in their eyebeam windows and walk off expecting me to deal with it.
Setting the benchmark on how to handle giving advice
Thanks man and yeah. Lesson learnt to say the least lol
He was up top on mugumbal, I run to break LOS but too late and I’m on 5% if that and have Chakrams bouncing off my head. Was just cringe tbh but I’ll say it’s my bad for not spec sighting ( I did but the Sniper shot comes in 0.5s later )
I’m trying to add a sound to this clip but it’s a struggle lul
Thats also pretty unfavourable, best choice here would probably to play the other side of the pillar and not let him benefit from the highground. Something like that you need to know beforehand and communicate with your team, especially if you are the one that most likely gets clapped by the hunter.
Fyi, if he picked snipershot and you don’t die in the opener he most likely wasted a PvP talent slot for the game and is at a disadvantage, since getting that cast off midgame without getting lined, stopped or even outranged if you believe it is pretty hard and not even really worth it cause you could press 2 aimed shots in that time. Really only good for that first big boom out of camo.
Indeed Indeed
I’m not gonna try to talk too much and make loads of excuses. All I’m gonna say is 1200-1400 has people doing weird stuff. Warriors not going in for 3-5 working days there is a long list
There is toxic verbal abuse every single day. Social Contract is a meme
I’ve seen players with 2900 exp
and I’ve seen players with almost 0 experience
It’s wild
And yet you’re saying solo shuffle didn’t butcher pvp, it effectively implemented a league of legends behaviour simulator on top of killing the old brackets
Gotta Q to get out of there. It’s a waste of time getting angry over “X warrior didn’t do this, healer didn’t do this”, you won’t play with them again. Just try and improve what you could have done better in that situation and give yourself the best possible chance even winning with idiots on your team.
Try and see if theres any button you didn’t press on your action bar after you lose and if pressing that button could’ve saved you.
Anyone that doesn’t have anything constructive to say, put them on insta ignore.
If they say something constructive, but say it rudely, you can try listening to it, it might be helpful.
That’s a different thread mate common. I’ve stated the reasons as to why I don’t think RSS is solely to blame for the other brackets declining. Like it isn’t hard. If RSS is a load of and 2s and 3s is sick, why did everyone play RSS?
The LFG system sucked , and still sucks. People have warped expectations.
If you’re upset that you don’t have lowbies or new pvpers to farm low rating on alts then idk what to tell you
All brackets suck, and my queues are getting longer for RSS
I’m telling you, it isn’t mostly due to RSS for this beta test
I am , I climbed 1200 to 1470 and back down to 1200 last night , and now back to 1350 or something. I need win streaks but some comps I just don’t do that well into. 6-0 healers, weird mmr system. The amount of 3-3 I’ve had. go through Reflex and it’s like 0,0,0 +20 , 0 , -20 etc etc
mate I had some guy abusing and trolling me and int’d one of my games, ignored him and he was in the next lobby on my other DH LOL. I wish that was the case
I’m new to editing videos etc , but I have hours of footage, and some games I’d say I play pretty well but I’ll leave that for others to comment on
It is what it is
I do this anyway. A lot of people don’t bother talking , and others just go straight to toxic /w etc
I mean the fact that it’s a different thread doesn’t change anything; I’m not flaming you, I’m just stating. And I’ve said my share about why RSS screwed the old brackets up. PvP was in an already questionable state prior to that, but this did not help it by a mile.
LFG system didn’t suck, it makes perfect sense to hope for same-or-better if you’re looking for a mate, it’s the same when you’re looking for a job. If you want the job done hopefully well, you first want to see some solid background that the given person at least should be able to do the job you desire.
My main is 2k in 2s and my alt is at 1.95, I don’t have any particularly low alts. Plus, at 2k+ mmr, effectively every queue is a multiglad or r1 team. All brackets do suck, because the game is not, and not meant to be, balanced around PvP. But what RSS did to the community is irreparable damage.
I agree tbh. Did you play in Dragonflight pre-patch? before it became ranked? Cos it was insanely fun and bustling
Disagree, people leave after 1-2 losses and don’t have the mentality to learn to play together (diff styles perhaps) and grind like you had to when Arena teams were in the game.
Lmao nah
I respect your opinion mate.
Let’s agree to disagree on it though
I did yes, it was alright, but the mmr was also absolutely f*cked up, very much like first season - which caused the butchery of pvp achievements that followed.
People leaving after 1-2 losses is perfectly fine, if the person I played with sucked too much, I knew they’d leave and I wouldn’t have to stick with them for longer, because that’S what I usually do. Either way, as far as progressive mentality goes, 2s are almost universally played without voice - and voice is not required to play them for the most part anyway. All you have to do is to make your gameplay consistent enough to make it more accessible for other people until they get used to it. I played around 7000 arenas in shadowlands, I know my fair share about that. You also can’t imagine how much time I spent in LFG over the years and how many healers I’ve gone through, because either they sucked, or I sucked. It’s a trial and error, and it’s meant to be trial and error. The problem is how time-consuming it is.
Agree to disagree is fine by me, we don’t have to agree on everything.
As far as your MM game goes, you sit the corner doing nothing with chakram stickied to yourself for good 2-3 seconds, and you didn’t even open with spectral sight to see what the MM is doing. There’s some food for thought. Just to picture the situation - me, as MM, I am able to run over the entire Tol’viron arena and hunter mark a resto druid that uses as little as 2 globals of pre-hots out of the gates. You can imagine how easy it is to get to that spot in Mugambala within 3-4 seconds.
If I want to a real prick I’d say you lined your healer there who potentially could’ve saved you. The angle he started blasting your from was weird AF though, and I understand the instinct to line him instantly. To me it looks also like you got hit by the MMs Killshot as you peek back out to probably get in the line of your healer, at that point you should’ve (probably) just waited and hope your healer cuts the corner in time, doesn’t get trapped and hammers buttons to recover you.
Hammering blur and just standing still the moment you saw chakrams and the first initial hit would’ve saved you a 100%.
Alot of stuff could’ve happened there for you to not die, your warrior could’ve hammered intervene aswell, he could’ve hammerd rally.
If I had to brutally say what killed you there it’s slow reactions and panic on your part ( which is understandable, if you saw that type of thing happening for the first time, no judgement), and your team (mainly the warrior, as you lined the druid) also being on brain dial up and not pressing buttons to save you.
Then again, that MM angle looks really, really weird. Looks like he locked on to you the moment you peeked out from that pillar on the mount for the first time, I’m surprised he even got the sniper shot cast off.
Yeah it is mostly my bad. The reason why I posted it was Dumbledor saying that MM can’t 100-0. Which I said strictly speaking isn’t quite true. SniperShot took 30% my hp , I run LoS and the chakram + RF combo take me to 4%.
Yes I should have Spec sighted and chased him off top. I did say here:
So I genuinely didn’t think he’d rinse repeat it and go back up. I did spectral sight, just late and by then Sniper Chak and RF goes off. So the only thing left is Blur and hold cheeks
Also, Druid could have overgrowth Swiftmend me, or ironbark (not ideal but it’s something). As Odb said, play and you learn
Agree , and didn’t notice till I watched it back. However, you can see what I was trying to do. Issue is, Chakrams + RF go through LOS so it’s a bit troll anyway lol
Probably, all I can say is. Didn’t expect to have to blur there just to live if you feel me
But again, lesson learnt
Completely reasonable. All I can say is I was tilted AF. I’ll post all round when I can be bothered to learn how to edit the videos fully.
The round before I died due to the monk being ontop of the Rdruid + MM hunter so got put into a Frost trap for free, had no port set up , knew what side I was playing on and died from a warrior. The warbringer root effectively killed me as I couldn’t meta back over to monk.
You actually peeked out in line of the sniper shot at the last milisecond, if you licked the wall, he woulda not gotten it off tbh. As far as lining goes, chakram is a sticky, and rapid fire is a channel, in other words, you didn’t line anything, because rapid fire goes through walls, and chakram is a dot basically. You also died to the chakram as it returned for the last tick. That’S why you press blur instantly when chakram goes on cd, because it’s the same -or almost the same - cooldown, but prevents effectively all damage.
I know that. edit* I expected Sniper - Aimed shot RF. Instead of Sniper - Chak + RF if you feel me
I didn’t expect him to commit Chakrams and didn’t realise till I was probably 20% hp. within less than a second I’m on 4% and yeah KillShot probably went in too
It’s just a Situation for me but lesson learnt.
In future I’ll either Spectral sight so at least I know if cheese is incoming
The whole purpose of this was just to show the MM damage
It’s a 3v3 though. The team didn’t commit anything either and I’d say all of us were surprised.
I rarely see MM at this rating - just an honest statement
