Changing the downtime hours without any notice

Servers were going back up first it was 07.00 CET. Then you changed it to 08.00 CET, without any information or notice. Then you changed it to 09.00 CET, again without any infromation or notice.

What’s up with the trolling?

You have to remember that it is blizzard we are talking about here so zero communication from them.

They could just not say anything and keep them offline aswell.

Obviously the Trading Post has some issue’s going on.

I dont mind the downtime, it’s the complete lack of communication I mind. It shows a complete disregard for the customer base.

Uhm…
They do communicate in this case though, the launcher keeps updating the time.
It is like I said, better then not saying anything and trying to login and become dissapointed :man_shrugging:

This is not a very special case with updates though, every game encounters this on specific updates…

They could also post a picture of the “victory sign” with attached laugh track.

When you run a paid sub service and that paid sub service becomes unavailable for 2 hours longer than originally planned you get on to every platform and inform your customer base whilst apologising profusely, or you just “done messed up” twice rather than just the once, end of.

This represents the entirety of want I want to say or respond to on the matter.

Good day.

Wow, such drama.
The downtime is simply an estimated time.
When your internet provides comes and updates your home network it might also take 2-3-4hrs sometimes even an extra day off offline time, they also don’t “refund” your downtime nor apologise because this downtime is neccessary to keep their service updates and up to your “paid customer” standards…

They could also just implement the Trading Post while it doesn’t work or breaks half the game instead.
Do you reckon ppl would be happy about that instead? I don’t think so…

I’d take the 2hr extra downtime, heck make it 5hrs and fix some more bugs, so I’ll be able to play the game…

Fyi, Yday it was an 8hr update for the US servers.

Yes, it’s very dramatic, no really. The basics of a client\customer relationship… it could be a high budget HBO miniseries.

Personally if my internet provider were to come in and do an update where the estimated time was 2-3 hours and then left me without service for a whole day or more I would be getting compensated or a new internet provider.

If you ordered a pizza and it turned up 2 hours late and cold, you’d be OK with that then?

HBO delays series with a week without a mention aswell.

You would be trying, and not receiving.
Feel free to try and request a 2hr gametime refund from Blizzard

You can also play a new videogame aswell.

That is a bad example. Cold pizza is uneatable, those deliveries also usually have a “If its cold it’s free” kind off slogan.

If I ordered a package and they said they’d be there at 1pm but instead they show up at 3pm, I’ll be happy that it arrived.
If it arrived safe, complete and intact I’ll be even happier.

I’ll get the popcorn…1 sec!

And now it’s 9 CET, even a minute past, and servers are still not back up. Even with the 2 hour delay without information. Troll factor over 9k.

… and they’ve “updated” the time in the launcher to 10 AM (CET). Looks like we’ll be lucky to play at all today.

… and just as I posted that they changed to 10 CET :deaf_man:

They do? Citation.

Such an event has happened more than once and I have been compensated

Want a match for that strawman? The comment was about a lack of communication, you brought up internet service providers and I responded to that.

I could also have a cup of coffee, bounce a ball or ponder the deeper mysteries of life.

None of that has anything to do has anything to do with a paid subs service being unavailable and a lack of communication on said unavailability.

Things I could be doing with my time are in no way relevant.

So in other words, “no, no you would not be OK with that”. Got you.

I’m glad you are easily pleased, personally if I had been given a delivery slot at a certain time and they missed that by several hours (quite possibly causing me to miss more time off work) I’d be rightfully annoyed. I’d be annoyed as the service that had been paid for had not been provided. This is not unreasonable, this is just proper.

Also, it’s “as well”.

It updates the time around 3-5 minutes after the previous deadline has passed.

Which leads to players who are waiting to log in to be taking time out of their day for nothing.

Just tell us how long it’s going to be down for… don’t leave us with this indefinite nonsense.

Thank you for letting me know.
It helps me develop my 5th language better

I used to play Blade and Soul.
They had 10-14 hr downtimes EVERY WEDNESDAY for “Routine maintenance”.
If they came up earlier nobody complained, if they came up later, stuff like this thread happens.
Eventually they just put an absurd number in there so ppl couldn’t complain “it took longer then expected”.

Cool, would you like the other mistakes you made pointed out?

You know, aside from your defense of this of course.

That being far too obvious.

EDIT
Actually I’ll leave this up but ignore it, there is frankly no reason for me to tweak your nose, it’s immature.

No thank you.
In my opinion I am still correct and think you are complaining on the forums just to kill time untill you can play the game again.

To be honest, I would prefer the downtime, especially if it removes the issues that have been experienced since patch 10.0.0.5 dropped, it has been an utter disaster so far with Disconnect during dragon riding, errors when attempting to log in. Hopefully this will remove a gamut of bugs.
