Chaos around getting Bee mount

I was following discussion that took place in general chat yesterday evening in Stormsong Valley. Everyone was arguing about how it works.

So because noone could explain i came here to ask. I did the questline to unlock the hive (in the cave) and i can collect now jellies.

So it would be nice to clear out, what exactly needs to be done to unlock the mount alone.

  • do you need to get exalted with new Honeyback Hive faction or its not needed?
  • do you need to earn maximum status with Nascent Harvester in hive? (if so for example how many thin jellies it takes from 0 to maximum, if there are multiple stages, what are they and how many jellies it takes for each stage)
  • or maybe two above are somehow linked, and you are getting rep by feeding harvester (guessing here)

Since i already saw some people flying on the mount, i guess its not that brutal, it just would be nice to have clear information, blizzard failed at that part (communication).

Ive seen people saying that it helped to feed the bee on Human race character because it benefits from racial. If its true, maybe in that case for those who are taking their time, its worth to wait till Darkmoon Faire reputation buff.

i have to sat that isnt so clear this guide.

i think, if i understood correctly, you need to buy an item from that vendor in order to start the quest for the bee mount. That item requires exalted with the faction.not 100% sure though.

Someone mentioned you could skip the daily grind part by buying a bee pet from the quartermaster or something. This is one of the questions I’d like answered for sure.

Ah yes, you must do something something with the something and the something in order for you to do something something relating to a typical BFA grind which is actually good instead of sticking it in the in-game store.

Yes, that’s mentioned in the guide. You don’t need to do the 7 days of dailies for the Bumbles bee pet, you can buy a bee pet from the Storms Wake quarter master of you’re revered.

Haven’t started the honeyback hive stuff yet so I’m afraid I can’t help with answers for the other bits yet.

its not a topic about pet, its for the mount unlock requirements in details

as ive dove. bought the bee on AH. and after ive spoken with 3 chars and now i can grind the rep.
but isnt so clear.

The Honeyback rewards guide on Wowhead gives more info - you don’t need to be exalted with the hive, you just need to feed your harvester until it’s mature https://www.wowhead.com/guides/honeyback-hive-reputation-bee-mount-rewards#rewards

I saw someone with the bee mount, Im close to getting it, you dont need that quest from the exalted vendor, you need to just fill up that bee’s bar to full twice or three times

That’s actually super helpful, thanks. Apparently part 2 isn’t timegated, so you can just farm it over and over, which might explain how people are riding the mount already.

is it even a guide? seems more like a feature list

yes we still dont know how many jellies is needed total or per stage and how many stages are

From the comments on Wowhead:

The first bee is 3500 friendship. The second bee is 7000 friendship.
If you want the mount the only thing you have to do is collect 2100 thin jelly (non human) 1910 thin jelly honey (human)

No global chat can ever beehive…

Get it… like… behave… but… beehive… trust me, I am funny

No.

Yes.

However considering the bonus to the reputation from event quests + daily rare, you will be exalted before fully maturing the harvester. Just being exalted is not enough though, they are seperate things. You can become exalted without feeding harvester at all but that won’t get you anything really.

Most important item is at revered, the goggles make farming jelly a breeze. I don’t know how much jelly you need to go from 0 to full, but each jelly is 5 ‘growth’, so you can easily do the math.

Source: I have the mount.

This sounds about right.

It is, I’m going to get that alt pet tonight. It was looking a bit grim about having to do a grind a pet I don’t care about before I can go for the bee mount which everyone kept saying “no quests needed.” Without telling you about the bee pet or the alternative to it!

Grinding the mount will give me something else to grind than azerite

I just finished raising Kua’fon, so I was NOT looking forward to another 2-3 week timegated mount experience. Still not entirely sure on all the details with the bee mount, but it sounds like it may be a lot easier than the pterrordax one. Man, that was just horrible.
