I‘m in the Problematic situation that i have to decide between chaotic trans. Or revolving blades…personally i feel much better in m+ and raid too with blades.
Got furious gaze 2x… what do you think?- is chaotic transformation a muste have? Ty in advance
If you want to do competitive damage then yes, you will need a CT. The general BiS for talents is;
1x CT / 3x FG / 1x RB / 1x TB
As well as giving you more ST on a raid encounter, if you use it right it gives you great aoe burst.
When reaping comes out:
Eye beam, blade dance, fel barrage, blade dance, meta, blade dance, eye beam, blade dance and the reaping is toast.
You may have to fill the odd gcd where blade dance is on cd depending on haste but feels good man.
At least you can fill it with Fel Rush so there’s a bit more AoE going

Fel Barrage is rarely used but it has some uses, like cheesing Opulence or you can get away with it on Fortified weeks, especially with the Reaping season.
Trial of Ruin is better ST, fel barrage is better on more targets and does amazing aoe burst and can channel while moving.
O and immolation arua too as filler aoe
Well but why would you use meta for reaping? It Is the easiest thing from whole dungeon. Also fel barrage Is rarely used instead of ToR. Thanks to being channeled it is mostly inpractical.
Cos it’s fun! Also depends on the reaping, the extra stun can be handy.
Why is it being a channel a problem? The huge burst aoe and downtime between packs would make it perfect choice in a dungeon would it not?
The downtime is why it’s never really been a viable ability. ToR is there for every single pack/encounter. With FB, the encounters you don’t have it for will go a lot slower, plus ToR’s damage is not to be underestimated.
Hmmm interesting. I don’t main dh so I don’t pressume to be a master, I do enjoy fel barrage though. So its mainly for encounters like opulence then? Where you have to quickly burn down adds.
I use it on opulence to for the pads \o/
Realistically you should probably use ToR on progress. FB is used more often as a meme to pad with (also see: MOTHER’s adds on Uldir).

It really depends on the uptime. The sims and bloodmallet are siming covenant with 100% uptime, which is often not utilized in the true game.
I would say that in some cases it is safer to take another trait.
Nope. Look at Warcraftlogs and check your sims.
You’re probably checking Covenant with 100% uptime which isn’t feasible. The talents I listed are pretty much the best for every fight and you shouldn’t need to switch them with few exceptiosn if any.

Sacrifice instead of what? It is good to have at least one TB for fury reduction, but I would say that not having chaotic transformation is a huge DPS loss especially in raids. One free eye beam and blade dance + increased meta uptime is a big deal.
