Character appearance change

Given its blizzard I think it’s safe to say paid appearance changes will come to the store soon.

Why? Why would it “not make sense”? They implemented the barber shop I imagine because it was a very much wanted and later a very appreciated thing.
Same thing applies now.
Nobody is asking for gameplay changes in regards to character appearance change.

It’s just a Shave and a Haircut… Does my beard change offend people? Really?

Ah noes that’s the Chewbacca Defense, we’re f#*%".

Hopefully Barber shops are implemented soon. It has zero effect on gameplay or any other player or the social fabric of the server. No one else will notice if anyone changes their facial appearense or hairstyle. And you can’t escape from bad behaviour on the server by using a Barber shop.
And, it is perfectly consistent with immersion. Like going to the hairdresser IRL.

I don’t quite see the downside to this being a paid feature. Because it disrupts certain peoples’ idea of Classic being an edition of WoW that should be content and featured locked?

Barber shops and transmogrification are, however, obvious QoL features that have significant positive impacts and zero negatives that should definitely be implemented at some point.

Transmog wont have any effect? Pvp players will strongly disagree.
And overall there is absolutely no place for transmog in classic.

transmog have no place at all in classic.

Barber shop on the other hand (beard and hair only) is a whole different story and doesnt disrupt anything other than a qol feature.

Since the recurring theme with the #NoChange crowd seems to be bad grammar and childish oneliners, I wouldn’t expect an actual adult level discussion.

Checks replies…

Imagine my shock.

The idea that people are gauging each other that way in PvP is farfetched, but if there actually are people who do that then feel free to hit the toggle.

That aside, what does “And overall there is absolutely no place for transmog in classic.” mean? Who decided that? Explain why the ability to look the way you want in an RPG and Classic gameplay are mutually exclusive.

It’s not about the impact here, and it seems most of you don’t realize yet, that Blizzard will NOT change 1 bit of a thing in Classic. Yes, that includes that we will never see a Barber shop.

Why? IF they add one new single “feature”, which never belonged into Classic ( be it Barber Shop or X other thing(s) ) , then guess what will happen on this forums?! Everyone will “ask” ( more likely, demand ) , for other non-related Classic features to be implemented and in the end, it will be a huge mess.

I know it doesn’t impact game play, similar to the New Models which lots of people are asking, or even Transmogs, but as I said, if they change 1 single thing in Classic which we never seen it in Vanilla, it will be … “war”.

Oh don’t start it please Transmog topic was discussed to death. Won’t happen.
Thread is about barber shop, lets not derail it.

PS yes transmog will heavily affect how people play the game. We dont need it.

#nochange , believe it or not, it’s real and it will always be on Classic. 1 thing added into Classic which was never in Vanilla, and then “re-play the Vanilla Experience” , will fail.

Don’t engage others in discussion if you’re not able or willing to follow through. I mentioned transmog as an example of similar QoL, you decided to engage that very poorly by saying it affected PvP, so I suggested a toggle. Now you settle with “PS yes transmog will heavily affect how people play the game. We dont need it.” but you can’t explain why. Stop trolling.

Not an argument. Classic and Vanilla are not the same thing. After phase 6 the game will most likely move on to modified TBC and WotLK—the most popular and successful expansions. Where is it written that Classic will be locked to Phase 6?

The Barber Shop was not in any version of classic

Thin end - large wedge

It’s not a #no change thing - it’s just a - hey - you had no time limit to choose how your toon would look

Move to n from your cosmetic fixation and go farm some linen

Not an argument?! Classic and Vanilla are the same thing which shares the same content/features, until phase 6 that is. So no, you can’t come up and say “is not an argument”, because it is and as of now, a real one.

What happens after phase 6, is yet to be seen, but until then, Classic is Vanilla.

We don’t need a barber shop either

I said it is not an argument because yours is based heavily on the notion that Classic will be forever locked to Phase 6 when Blizzard themselves have stated that they will in fact look into modified TBC and WotLK if the game’s popularity is maintained and there’s a want for it.

I wasn’t expecting any of this to be added before Phase 6 as the road map is already detailed. This is something I am thinking may, can, and should be added after Phase 6.

And I keep my argument that Classic will stay true to Vanilla.

If BC and WoTLK will be a thing, be very sure that there will be separated servers and an option to move/copy your Classic character into say…BC servers.

Classic WILL stay un-touched. Sooner you and many of you understands this, the better!

Which is your right. However, I am not so sure there will be separate servers for potentially 4 different versions of the game, but that remains to be seen and I’d prefer it if the community could generally agree on a preferable way forward instead.

Anyway, this has gotten somewhat off-topic.
