Character backstory option

I dont know if this has been discussed before so I will explain the topic a bit

Yesterday a thought came into my mind about how in wow you dont have the option of writing a backstory for your character which in my opinion should be an option. Like when you are creating a character or an already existing one there should be an option (optional) where you can write a backstory for you character if you want, there can also be some lore related things you can read when creating your character for inspiration.

And this should not be restricted to only rp realms since it is an optional interface for your character, you can also view others backstory if you want, like when pressing inspect and seeing their gear ( I inspects a lot of players for fun and inspiration) if they have written a backstory then I would like to read it if not thats fine and as I stated before this should not be limited to rp realms because it does not harm anyone or force people to rp, its just an option.

Many of you will probably say “there are addons for that” well I dont want an addon, that simple option should already be in the game since this is a MMORP game.

And it does get annoying to see the whole time so i doubt blizz would implement it, at least in such detail.

Let’s be realistic, most players don’t really care for character backgrounds. So it’s unlikely to add something like this.

I am sure there are addons or discord servers for that kind of thing. But there is no need for it in the core game itself.

That’s a feature that should stay as an addon.
