I’ve bought one Epic edition and one Standard edition of Dragonflight. They are both on the same Battle.net account, but only the epic edition can use the level 60 boost.
I’ve done this since Legion and I could use the boost on any WoW account that’s on the same Battle.net.
Are the character boosts no longer Battle.net account wide? If they are, what should I do to make it usable on the Standard edition WoW account?
Expansion Boosts have not been account wide since BfA, I think, maybe Shadowlands.
The standard (base) edition has no boost, only the Heroic and Epic do.

Well, I’ve used my BfA boost on a Warlock (during pre-patch) that was on an account that didn’t even have BfA pre-ordered. Same with Shadowlands.
I’m sure you noticed this when buying your Dragonflight.
Oh well, that’s greedy of them to do that even though it wasn’t like that in older expansions. Thanks for trying to help.
I’ve made a ticket asking them if it’s possible to have it transferred over.
It seems like it isn’t possible, the only thing you can do is buy a character transfer after 72 hours.
I quote the Shadowlands boost one:
- In-game items and Level 50 Character Boost not available in World of Warcraft® Classic, and Level 50 Character Boost usable only on the WoW® game account on which it was purchased or redeemed as a gift.
The Wrath Classic:
- Limit one Level 70 Character Boost per WoW® account. Boost only available on Wrath of the Lich King Classic™ realms, except for new realms introduced at pre-patch. Boost cannot be applied to Death Knights and is only usable on the WoW® game account for which it was purchased or redeemed as a gift.
I thought that TBCC also had the similar one so I concur with Dottie that it started with Shadowlands officially.
