My friend wants to start playing wow for the first time but doesnt want to deal with levelling so plans to buy the Dragonflight edition with a character boost. He is unsure if you have to level a character before youre able to use a boost on an account or if its completely unlocked to allow a boost right out of the gate
I looked and looked but couldnt find the answer anywhere, just wondering if anyone knows the answer for sure
You can use the boost on any character, you don’t even need to have logged into it. First time around though I would recommend at least a little levelling just to get used to how the class plays so they don’t boost the wrong one and regret it.
It happens more often than you think and Blizzard will not reverse a boost.
But leveling is ultra fast these days, can be done in 2-3 days, no need for a boost.
I agree totally about levelling to get a feel for the class and i had four boosts available on my account and still level instead (and ive levelled every class several times)
I just wasnt sure if you have to of had a character on the account past the boost level. I appreciate the guidance
And one last thing - I like getting the spells and abilities one at a time to have time to learn what each does. Getting most of them at once is a bit overwhelming to me.
