This has triggered an existential crisis in me as I seemingly do not exist:
How accurate is that website?
I checked my missed character, which I played him in 2006, and found him.
I can’t remember the account email… I wonder if I can migrate that character to my current account!
Special lettered characters are as it is, as 1st time those name scanners came was a hot mess. Not sure if its same site, but I only used ‘normal’ names on my test earlier.
Also Ru-realms are not on the realms list I think. The confusion might be that Ru realms have two names. The one players see - i.e. mine is страж смерти read : strazh smerti (guardian of death), but it has also English name used on armoury, and other places “Deathguard” and this system has been troublesome in past on fan sites. Probably less of an issue modern days, but originally it had its … glitches. So it can explain why there’s no Ru characters scanned.
i think you can link different wow accounts to one battlenet account but cant transfer chars in between only transfer something on the same account.
But to be honest i never tried to transfer between both my accounts mostly since i abandoned one ages ago because i only used it to play both factions on the same server

If your account names are same and details are matching, then yes. Even small deviation on details, then no.

I believe the first and last names match my current account.
What is the process to do that?

That’s cool - my original name wasn’t Iggwilv on Draenor (I was born a human mage on Thunderhorn back in 2005) - but I can use that tool to track me

Pretty much how it feels leaving the starter zone.
I played that character in 2006 only. So no Battle.net account! I am contacting Blizzard if I can get that lvl 60 toon to life again
but if you remember the old account you should be able to link it to your current battlenet account i did the same with both my accounts and maybe then you could be able to transfer between accounts

I just found it in Google today. Maybe its not updated since 2018, dunno. Most of the characters “last seen” is 2018.
Blizzard did it! They linked my 2006 account to my current Battle.net account.
