Character Creation Date

Is there anywhere that can tell you this information in game (or outside game)? I know my account creation date and I know which toons were created in the first few days - but now i’m having to delete some chars in order to make room for upcoming allied races (i’m trying to 2nd guess the races and find specific names) and for some reason I’m reluctant to delete really old ones (don’t ask why…it’s a weird thing).

Achievements -> Character -> Levels -> see your first “Level 10” achievement date. Its prob the same day you created your character.

Ah, good call. Never thought of that :slightly_smiling_face:

No, it is not a weird thing. When I made my 1st DK and moved around realms for good raid guild, for some reason I always brought my very 1st character with me. And to this day I have ever deleted 2 characters in wow history (that is since eu launch) - a undead warrior in vanilla, and a gnome warrior in vanilla.

So I keep my characters and rather buy new account than delete oldies. And I do not think this sentimental behaviour is really rare, unique or even odd. Its simply - human !

Sadly that wont work if your char is older than the achievement system

If you have played before Wrath of the Lich King, then this will not work as Achievements were introduced in WotLK pre-patch back in 2008.

It is a pity when achievements were introduced there wasnt one for “You have created your character”. Those achievements that are automatically granted at the start of a game have a purpose: To keep the information about when do you started to play. Of course for old players like me that started before achievements this wont work.

Will only date back to WotLK, Vanilla-TBC characters would still show the same the day they first logged in in WotLK.

Some achievements go back to vanilla, as that’s the only time they could be earned.

I know Blizzard have the creation date information in their records but I don’t think they give it out, you could open a ticket and ask.

It could even be in the GDPR file you can ask for, I can’t find mine to check.

You can check your character creation date in here  Also your guild history.

Iggwilv-Draenor is created Jul 26, 2016 , if you want to know the date of this character.

PS: (I dont think its working with “funny” letters like ø, etc.)

Doesn’t seem to work.

Its working :stuck_out_tongue: Just click on your character. I found 32 Gannets.

That is not exactly what the OP asks. Some achievements prove that character was created in Vanilla or TBC, but those achievements the date of those achievements is always the same, the first day that character logged in after 3.0. I started in TBC and all level achievements from 10 to 70 are from the first day of 3.0, of course, that proof that at least my character is from TBC, but there is no way for me to know the exact date when I actually reached level 70 in TBC or the exact date when I reached level 10, the closest achievement to character creation.

Holy Elune, now I feel old …

Weird then, still seems it goes back to MoP for me, when i transfered to Twisting Nether. There is one showing on my old realm of Jaedenar at 85 but can’t find anything prior to 2010, even though 8 out of the 32 chars there are mine.

edit:
oh nvm, seems i can dig deeper and found it

I tested it on few characters of mine. My character that has name changed and transferred a plenty shows up pretty ok, and above all - she has nearly always been in a guild. My no-name alts who have been on-line less nor have had their own guild untill I made them one, show up less and more inaccurately.

But I do think this search can give rough idea when and how your character was made. I do however remember the order my characters are made and when, which is pretty nice achievement considering how many characters I do have.

Best part with that search is also that it shows what i have thought before (had gut feeling) that even if you come up with a unique name, it gets duplicated more likely, when you post on forums. And is 2/3 chance of being used even on same class/race combo as you do.

Yeah, I think there is something buggy in this site  Your character “Gannet” have the same creation date as your first joined guild at level 90. Did you bought a character boost or the website isnt correct? :stuck_out_tongue:

Can you find your character “Азриил” or its just me who cant find anything in cyrilic nor with dansk/norsk O and other non-english letters? I cant find my character :frowning:

“First seen”, '12.

I made my character in TBC, and it’s fairly out of date with last seen being '18… -.-;
