So why are we discussing this instead of keep telling them we still want the customization? They are definitely aware of people’s negative react to their decision and now I’m wondering what are they going to do about that.
I really don’t understand what they are doing with customizations option tbh. Haircolors is just moving a cursor on a color wheel. They don’t have to reinvent the wheel everytime but it’s such an easy way to make people like their patches better.
I got 2 new DK-tints wich looks almost the same as the rest, option to be blind and 2-3 new hairstyles ;___;
I didnt expect mutch, but I didnt expect soo litle
And pandaren stil lack pixles on the nape of the neck
My elf booty should be happy with all the customization we already got, so if there is one problem to be addressed, it is indeed the shal’dorei matter… such a lovely, pretty race, and so lacking… I grew to love them because of Thalyssra, she is a charming leader, and I’m happy she had a bit of role mid-BfA (co-leader of the Nazjatar assault on Horde side, after a single expansion). The nightbornes we have could be polished to look like the NPCs in Suramar.
Well might not be worth to you but to lot of people character customization and stuff like transmogs/mounts are the real endgame.
For me personally I could not give a rats butt about new raids especially now that there is no tier sets to go after if it meant that we would get more character customization.
I honestly cannot comprehend how hard is it to just create more textures for hairstyles, face shapes and colours? Specially in a game where the graphics are quite cartoonish- If a teenager can create mods for customization on their home pc I’m guessing it shouldn’t be that hard for Blizzard either.
How much does it take to make these pixelated hairstyles, really?
Recently I bought Nioh 2 and hell I knew nothing about that game, the only thing that was for me is the “souls like” game category. And I missed those.
I literally spent like one and a half hour just to customize the character, the amount of options were a blessing and a big surprise. Not to mention the gameplay how many things are in there…
But that’s not an MMO so I can’t really compare it to WoW in that part…
The thing is as someone mentioned before, I doubt the same developer team would work on the set bonuses and the cosmetical things at once.
Because they’d have to do it for 23/46 different races and genders to achieve some semblancy of parity. One of the consequences of having a severely bloated roster of useless races by the way.
Not to mention that these cosmetics are rightfully so probably very far down on their list of priorities when there are other things that are actually needed to get us through this expansion.
The thing is there is no excuse at all for blizzard being this slow/lazy when there are game companies with only a fraction of manpower/money and they still but 110% more effort doing stuff and lot of times have more complex character creation than WoW’s archaic one from 2004.
Hell it took them well over decade to even give us updated textures and even that took so long that when they were finished they had to already go back and start updating the ones they did first…
To me it’s mind-boggling that the company that has one of the largest amount of manpower to do stuff achieve so little so slowly.
