Hi there,
I recently got into collecting, and i want to complete my Character list.
So here i have a challenge for myself as well as for you (if you’re up to)
What i’m looking for is a full Character list with:
A) at least all Races only once
B) Classes that fit Race most with Lore
C) Professions that fit with the Race/Class (can be multiple gathering Characters)
D) Both Horde and Alliance
Don’t care about min/max dmg with classe combo’s as i’m not into high endgame.
i really struggle to make a list myself cause once i have something going, everything goes into chaos mode inside my head and nothing make sence from that point…
The dwarf hunter is good for you to pick , the dwarf warlock is bad it should not exist and a dwarf rogue is a surprise . The gnome warlock is O K if they are evils , if good , priest . A gnome warrior is bad . A gnome paladin is bad . A gnome druid is weird if they are the robot gnome , warrior is O K because they can not be kicked without a hurt foot as SOLID MESALS , then the monk fits pandalen , the druid does not fit them . A panda should not be a druid . A tauren in a druid form is O K a night elf too . A shaman is bad nobody shall be a shaman . Draenei is made to be a paladin and a draenei hunter is bad , they want to flip their gun like it is a televisor show . The night elf can be druid as I messam before , they can not be warlock , they should not be a mage , they can be a warrior now . The other tall is human that can be warrior or paladin or hunter or priest . Humans do not do magic . If you are a horde , I know of two of them , Tauren , as I messam they can be a druid , sheep , and you know the orc they are a strong can be a warrior . Good luck on your listing and quest !
This gives a lot more races than different classes, which is a good opportunity to focus on what class specialisation that fits the given race best.
Generally:
Mage/Priest/Warlock: Enchanting + Tailoring
Druid/Rogue/Monk/DH: Skinning + Leatherworking
Hunter/Shaman/Drakthyr: Leatherwoking + Blacksmithing, especially if you want to craft legacy BoP mail gear on this char.
Paladin/Warrior/DK: Mining + Blacksmithing
Some races have some race-specific skill bonuses to given professions, and this is a good guideline for lore-appropriate professions. Examples are Engineering for Gnomes, Jewelcrafting for Draenei, and Herbalism for Tauren.
Unlock requirements for allied races are being removed in 10.1.5 so you can create one when the patch drops. Some people think it’s going to be when the xp event is over next month.
Here’s my list for the core races. I had to repeat on some because I’d say the best fit often clashes.
Human: Death Knight (In the interest of keeping Paladin/Warrior free)
Dwarf: Hunter
Night elf: Demon Hunter (Only in the interest of keeping other classes free. But makes the most sense between Night/Blood elf Demon hunters)
Gnome: Mage
Draenei: Paladin
Worgen: Warrior (Go Fury. Bitten Gilnean soldier)
Pandaren: Monk
Orc: Shaman
Undead: Warlock
Tauren: Druid
Troll: Priest
Blood elf: Ideally Mage. Warlocks can make a lot of sense, then Blood Knights (Paladins) Edit: Actually want to mention that I feel Blood elf Hunters are overlooked as best fit, since Quel’thalas did have very talented Rangers. That’s why it’s my top choice. <<<
Goblin: Rogue
The problem with these kind of lists are how some classes are not considered signature by any available race, and shoe-horning them into the list will cause the respective races to lose better class-pairing.
The main victims are the Night Elves, whom have to take Demon Hunters because they are the only proper race for this class as Blood Elf Demon Hunters have always been the lesser ones. This means the Night Elves neither get to show off as Druids nor Hunters.
