Background story, at some point in time I took a break from WoW, when I came back, I realized that everyone I knew moved to a new realm, and at that point in time didn’t have enough money to also pay for a character transfer, so went the way and created new character used the boost that came with the expansion and created a new character.
Now time has passed and I wish that there would be a way to merge 2 characters if they were the same class, and similar to when we set up our old characters in the menu, when we get the gear upgrade stuff.
How It would Work:
- Let’s assume this is a paid service.
- It wouldn’t be possible to revert.
Preconditions:
- Characters must be same class.
- You would pick one of the realms on which the character are or you would have to pay a transfer service).
- All items would be transferred on the remaining character.
You would be able to pic per expansion which character progress you’d want(this could be split more across exploration, quests if you’d want):
It would go like this:
- Classic: Progress: Char A or B
- The Burning Crusade: Char A or B
- …
- Up to the latest expansion.
In theory I think this could work, don’t know exactly how hard it would be, but it is a service I’d pay money for, considering I’d want the history of my original character.
Maybe if there are enough people that would want this, we could make it work.
Is it technically to hard?
Maybe there can be some suggestions that would make this feasible.
