Level 30 character is no longer gaining XP, please can somebody help? I have done everything from reinstalling the game to removing all Add-ons and still I have no success. I don’t want to have to start again with this character. If anyone could shed any light at all it would be very much appreciated. Thank you

(Retail) Could it be that you choose to freeze XP ? There’s an NPC in orgrimmar/stormwind for that.
Also how have you determined you’re not getting any XP, could it be you’re turning in quests that are ment for lower level characters for example.
Hi Sandsh, its classic that I’m playing with a horde character. I did see that tip regarding freezing xp but it only started last night and I’ve never gone near that character in ogrimmar that freezes XP. Im killing mobs etc around my level and not gaining any XP whatsoever. its so bloody frustrating!
Ahyea, i don’t play classic myself, so i couldn’t really say what that’d be.
I do remember from vanilla that around the level 30 mark, progress starts going a lot slower than before it, but of course that’s not the same as a complete standstill.
If you’re sure it really isn’t moving at all then i’d make a support ticket.
But i can imagine possible confusion could be that you’re looking at the visual representation of the XP bar. you may well not notice that going up as you kill stuff. Try looking at the exact number value of XP that you’re on, and seeing if that changes at all.
Also XP gains may or may not be reported in the chatbox/combatlog. You can likely right click chat for chat settings and enable “Experience” there. If that’s enabled and you still see no XP reported in chat either, then try making the same change on a level 1 alt and seeing if it does get reported there.
Activate XP gains in chat and see it it goes up, also make sure the mobs are not in grey.
Maybe someone reported your name and you need to close the game down.

Thanks for your help guys but unfortunately still same issue. Sorry for being an idiot but how do i specifically get a ticket raised with blizzard for this as when you go through support it just leads you from one place to another.
Also the one thing i did want to say was the NPC in orgrimar is nowhere to be found. When i watch a clip on you tube the hall of the brave looks completely different! I’ve searched everywhere and still cant find him (slahtz).

The lock XP NPC is not in classic.
Do you get floating combat text?
