I keep getting the ‘Character Not Found’ error message when trying to access the in game calendar and guild tab.
I’ve tried resetting the UI using the console command and deleting the WTF, Interface and Cache folders
Any ideas on what else I can do short of a full uninstall reinstall?
Additionally when someone types in guild chat it only appears in the guild interface panel, not within the standard chat display and with {} instead of the character name.
I don’t have any add-ons installed so there cannot be any conflict there.
Normally resetting the games UI to defaults will resolve these sorts of issues. As this is persisting, it would indicate that there is a potential issue with your guild and you should create an in-game ticket so that this can be looked into in more detail.
Many thanks for the reply. I’ve already been using the ticket system and they are adamant the issue is at my end and that resetting the ui, deleting addons and uninstalling twitch is the resolution. Their last advice was to post here on the forum.
I’m positive this issue isn’t at my end as the mobile app isn’t working in exactly the same way (the calendar just displays a blank grey screen and some people in the guild chat display as [?] rather than the character name) nor do I have twitch installed or any addons so I’m kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.
The last reply I sent included screenshots showing these issues so hopefully the issue will be able to be fixed.
