Character stuck in Nightfall Sanctum Delve

Hi there,

My Dark Iron Dwarf Shaman is stuck inside the Nightfall Sanctum Delve. He’s dead and cannot release spirit which prevents him from leaving the delve through “Exit Delve” option.

Logging in/out doesn’t work, nor does “Character stuck” service. I’ve tried waiting for half an hour offline but the instance doesn’t soft reset. My character doesn’t appear as dead on the character selection pane.

Any tips on what I could do to unstuck him? :frowning:

Hello there,

The character I am posting on (my DH “Rexxíne”) is completely stuck dead in the delve Nightfall Sanctum.
Died to a oneshot on the final boss on tier 8, it proceeded to bug out and did not deduct a try (still on 5/5); instead my character is dead and unable to release spirit.
I do see the button, it is just perma greyed out as if in combat.

Things I have tried:

  • Relog
  • Disable all addons
  • Reset game files to default
  • tried /script RepopMe()
  • Unstuck the character (just put me next to the resurrection stone in delve, but still 5/5 and the problem of not being able to release spirit persists)

Pretty much full on stuck now with no clue on how to proceed - any help?

We have received a few additional reports like yours and an investigation is ongoing, at this point in time however there are no workarounds we can suggest as all the normally available options seems to be not working :frowning:

Same Problem here with my Evoker.

same problem here. tak-rethan - was in queue for a raid, declined the invite, then Brann left my party, got lag spike, died, unable to release. stuck.

as i was writing this post - reseting the game had fixed the issue for me.

softreset on the character after 1h of staying logged out did the trick for me if there was no fix in the meantime; inconvenient but not as bad as I assumed after original op mentioned soft reset did not work either since that was the one thing I had not yet tried

just happend to me as well, tried logging out for 30 mins did not do anything, trying for 1h now… fix this asap seen posts with the same bug from beta…

I tried everything, even character unstuck, i get teleported dead to the delve gy xD I hope they will fix this asap

Staying logged out for 1 hour was the only fix for me…

Same issue. Although by the time my second char had done 3 lvl 8 delves and then died to the same mechanic bugging it out my first char I got stuck on was no longer stuck. Seems that if you’re offline 1-2 hours (I was offline for almost exactly 2) you can log back in again.

While I don’t have any specific update on a complete resolution of this problem, it was noticed that the combination of using the Stuck Character self service option and subsequently waiting for some time (1 hour should do the trick, as per the above quotes) can effectively “unstuck” affected characters.

Please note that we can not guarantee that this workaround will work for everyone, it is however simple enough that I would like to suggest all affected players to consider giving it a shot.

Well great thing you guys have a cooldown on unstuck.

Missing raid because of this.

My DK is stuck in that way as well. Maybe it was because the mob started attacking Brann’s Steeltrap. I also saw some empowerings not going away even though I killed all of the mobs. Good to know that it will fix itself after one hour being offline at least.

Have the same Problem, my DH is stuck dead in the delve.
Unstuck only teleports me from my Deathposition to the respawn location but I’m still death and can’t release Spirit and is now on 4h CD… The Interface tell me that a Groupmember is still Infight.
I’m trying now the Soft reset with 15min offline and after that 1h+ and play a other Game…

Same here … do we have a fix for it ? Otherwise is there compensation for lost viz tofu delve, time …?

Blizzard only ever gives out compensation for cases where you can’t play for more than a day.

Since you technically can play, just not your preferred character, I don’t think they will be giving compensation.
