I logged out but when the timer ran out I was still logged in. I could not move or escape key to exit. I force quit the game as it was the only option after waiting.
Now I logged back in and get this error “CHARACTER WITH THAT NAME ALREADY EXISTS”
Every time I log in it quits out to character screen.
I’m having this exact same issue, except on all my characters.
I’m staying logged in after the log out timer runs out, and i’m just sat there unable to do anything.
I can Alt+F4 and restart the game to log over to a different character, but as stated above if you want to login again to the same char it will say “A character With this name already exists”
You can work around this by waiting for 10-15 mins tops.

The location i try to log out doesnt matter either. every char i log on will not be able to logout without a “ctrl-alt-f4”. Draenor garrison, Chamber of heart, Tortollan quartermaster, boralus harbor. Havent tried to logon again with same char as i just doing wq quest for trinket/ring upgrade. But till now alteast 10 character had to logout that way.
