Characters cap, 50 isn't enough! Cap must be 168!

i have 49/50 chars , got 1 left for anymore allied races. Yes i play on all my chars , no they aren’t all 120 but how is that argument relevant ? Let me play how i want to. I have had this account over a decade i made chars before new races or classes existed. Blizz thinks that’s my fault and i should have thought about that back in cata/mop before making new chars.

The cap should be increased at least to 56 or 60 to accomodate these new races or classes. I mean blizz said they got 5 more expansions in the works after bfa. Who know what new classes/races will be added over the next 10 year period.

Why? For € reasons duh…

If you’re so into wow blizzard psychology marketing department decided you’ll buy a second wow bfa (only 59,99) and a second sub.

Why would they lose on this cash cow?

I don’t see why. Maybe you don’t use 50 of them but many other players sure do. Also, why argue against this change? For the people who don’t use many chars they won’t ever notice and the ones who do it would benefit, so…??

Cmooooon what the hell are you doing with so many chars? Is there some trick to it, please I want to know tooooooo :sob:

i play mainly on 3 servers , one for pvp , one for pve and one for role playing. I play on those servers who are like minded in my goals i want to achieve on those realms.

Answer is they don’t need to at all - and to placate to such an idea is to placate to an unhealthy minority for the sake of running some experiment.

If they’re going to do tweaking then I’d much rather it be something a bit more meaningful / practical.

“I advocate for people to do whatever they please” loses value when that starts translating to unnecessary excess that only benefits 0.0001% of the players… Less, even. I sure as hell hope so when it comes to those who genuinely want to have 100-150+ characters…

Needs and wants are personal. Nobody needs tv , nobody needs to be playing video games. Humanity did pretty well without them. But we want them , we feel they are necessary to fit our standards of need. So if i want to play more than 50 characters on wow ? How does that affect you ? Does it stop you progressing through a jaina kill ? Does it stop you from doing end game arenas ? Does it stop you from forming a m+ group ? No so why should you be bothered or even care what I and other players get upto in the game we pay an active sub for.

This reminds me of the legacy server threads. The arguments used to say for years.

" only a small minority want to play vanilla" So ? as long as they keep paying subs , it’s a paying customer ? what’s the problem ? Where is the harm in playing content they enjoy ?

" Vanilla will fail people will log in play for a week and never go back on it" But without that choice , players would never be able to decide if they like it or not , or want to continue playing it. Where’s the harm in choice.

Yea, if you look at this game inexplicably as a non-RPG where characters somehow don’t have intrinsic value.

WoW is a roleplaying game, remember? Enjoying levelling and logging into characters - even if it’s a few days in each month - is important to some.

People can never move past this arbitrary metric argument of “How can you play 50 characters in a week/day?” as if somehow a character that is played in a rotation, as it were, a few hours every other week, for instance, has less value.

There are MANY thing in this game that people have hundreds of, not fifty, and not a single one of those things comes even close to the fundamentality of actual characters.

That would just engender addiction to the game. You can change spec, you know. I regularly do, just to see how the other specs are.

I know of which I speak, as I have 42 120s (no I don’t multiscum or bot or have more than one account with alts on /follow) and my only goal in game is to have 50 max level chars … that’s my ultimate goal in wow. if the increase to 168 then it would be impossible to get all maxed (without mulstiscumming or botting of course) and that would end my wow fascination.
I understand your want for one of each spec/race, but it would be too much.

@Teknetia: I currently have 67 characters… The 50 on my main account see weekly use, large portion daily or almost so. I tend to rotate a bit, because I normally use about 25-35/day (but sometimes all 50) and if I have very limited time, only use a few that at that time are the most important for me.

I have posted on this before in older threads… Having been about almost 11 years by now and playing in three support languages in two server regions (and when they still existed, I had characters on all four server types…)… Characters crop up.

What if you want to try every possible hairstyle, facial hair, face, skin color, etc combinations? I think 1 billion is a reasonable amount.

I’d forgotten the server type split with mine. I’ve 48 at the moment having deleted one just made to help out a friend on another realm. Some of those are on a pvp realm, the bulk are on rp realms and a few on normal realms. I don’t think a lot of people get that 10+ years ago we didn’t have the same char creation options, cross realm stuff or sharding. If you went on another realm you were starting from scratch and having chars that covered the profs made that far easier. Even with 50, as an average for me that’s less than 5 chars made per year.

Do you have a job? lol

Just a question but is this the amount for characters if you make every class for every race or every spec for every race? It’s late and I don’t want to math right now.

Its not about the time, its about the journey man… :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I don’t see why people would oppose an increase in the number of characters allowed. It has absolutely zero impact on anyone, except the person creating the characters.

I’m at 48 right now and won’t have space to create any new races or classes that come in a future expansion. And that’s not even counting classic servers. I might have to start to delete characters and I really want to avoid that.

Will have its own servers, so it wont matter.

Same account, so I assume it will count for the 50 character limit.
