charge doesnt have a min distance required, you can stand ontop of some1 and press charge to get the rage , even without moving an inch, this wasnt in classic mop back then,
Why you tell them bro?
BECAUSE i wanted to play mop like it was back in the days, where you could zone a warriors charge, you could outmaneuvre it by standing within its deadzone … a skill thing, also called stutter stepping in and out of the deadzone
Kinda crazy how people can’t find basic information anymore.
Charge was changed in Pve recently to have no minimum range (to avoid warriors having to run out and charge weave in pve encounters).
This change DOES NOT work in pvp so your concerns are totally unwarrented.
Please google things before making forum topics.
thats wierd, because for me it worked fine when i duelled??
Duels aren’t a competitive PvP form that lets you earn rank and currency, therefore it doesn’t matter, but in battlegrounds and arenas charge and many other PvE focused changes don’t work as intended.
I don’t get it. Do warriors in MoP not have Heroic Leap? Is that not a standard combo to get rage from Charge?
Makes no sense. Charge is charge. If they want to allow warriors to generate more rage, they should just increase rage generated from other abilities.
Why does it make no sense?
Warriors are gonna chargeweave anyway and no Heroic/Leap charge is not really great since leap has a 45 second CD and charge has a 12 second CD.
it’s literally a small quality of life change to smooth out the rotation stop making a big deal out of literally nothing.
The issue is that one of the most skillful plays a warrior could do to outplay another warrior was literally zoning the charge window so you could hit them consistently yet they could not get to you and thus get rage starved while you dictated them with slow
This is a bad change, pure jank gameplay.
A lot less janky than having to deal with bosses with huge hitboxes and pathing issues when trying to chargeweave. DS was a nightmare for chargeweaving
You can still do that in arena and BGs where it matters.
“Chargeweaving” in of itself is jank. If you’re considering removing the gameplay limitations of a mobility spell just to use it as a passive dps increase button, it’s time to remove/restrict the functionality like they did in retail.
Either have charge weaving be an expression of gameplay timing and positioning, or remove the benefits of doing it, this is pure amateur hour jank.
I’ve tested this in PvP last night, it works in PvP too. People saying that it doesn’t work in PvP, well it works in battlegrounds as I was doing it last night.
Are you joking? World PvP has been a core part of the game since day one — that’s the whole point of PvP realms.
If a change made for PvE reasons ends up breaking the feel and functionality of World PvP and dueling, then it’s clearly a poorly thought-out implementation.
Just imagine a typical world PvP situation:
You aggro some random mob while trying to engage a real enemy player. You go to Hamstring the mob — and instead, you accidentally blow your second Charge, which you needed as a gap closer for your actual PvP target.
That’s not just annoying — it’s a serious loss of control and utility.
And let’s not downplay duels either. They’ve been part of WoW since before battlegrounds even existed, and they’re still alive and well in every expansion.
So please, let’s make some sense here — saying this isn’t a big deal is just casual-level thinking.
For players who care about control, precision, and fluidity in PvP, this matters a lot.
Hey cassual, the real issue is it doesnt work in WORLD PVP and DUELS!
I too, find it very amateurish
" Yes but actually, it doesn’t impact the match-up of my WMD against Thunder Cleave to the N’th diminishing return at the highest level of skill that we gate-keep anyway, so who cares about how the world experience feels for 95% of the players who want to enjoy MoP Classic
. This is what we have decided on our obscure discord about class design, I hope you are ready !"
Edit: Maybe I am overdoing it with the caricature, but I find the experimentation in MoP Classic a bit wild. It’s interesting too, but crazy at the same time.
