Um … the new expansion is cool and all but bugged as hell. I see a lot of classes using cheats but that’s not the point - point is charge - the ability I use the most when playing warrior - is bugged.
I don’t know if support even read this but Preach (aka Mike) told me they do so I will write it here. Just charge a target that is moving in high speed and your char will charge only halfway trough, while the target run 9999 km away. It’s easy to reproduce, I am sure I can do it any time in game. I mean the ability is clearly supposed to charge TO the target, right ? Not halfway ? Anyone who is not conviced that this is a bug ?
jumping a charge has been there since classic, its a mechanic you can do vs warrior
what i wonder tho is why is the root from charge delayed? its not applied until you “hit” the charge target? is it not suppose to apply when you press the ability?
This just happened:
The game put me vs two feral druids (they stunned my char 4 times in 20 so another bug but that’s another story) . I had to charge the one but because it was running I was put only halfway trough and had to attack the other …
This is a game breaking bug, when I press Charge I expect it to … you know work. Blizz will have to ban everyone who is using this exploit if they win rating when the season starts since in the ToS it is clearly stated that cheating is forbidden in this game, right ?
Is it the fault of the player who won by cheating or the devs for making the ability bugged? Either way rating shold not be lost when the season starts because of exploit.
Sorry, I don’t play pvp, but I noticed it during the Ohn’ara dungeon during the encounter of the 2 ghosts. One has a leaping ability and if I charge at her midway, I go only “halfway”, which is actually the distance the system registered at the moment I pressed the button.
Could it be that the system “made” you charge halfway as the target was that far from you at the moment you indicated your ability?
Root was not registered so I assume the ability can fail ? Having to wait for the target to finish their movement sounds like a boring gameplay - it can lead to target being out of range and still give it some advantage since we can’t know the precise moment it finished their … “animation” ?
its the other way around, root doesnt hit until you are at the target
atleast in pvp, always happens to me. I see the warrior charge but I can still run around, the moment his character is melee range to me, the root applies
That’s not a bug, it’s a feature. Charge follows target to the location the target was at the moment you pressed the button and charged. However if the target is moving on high speed, target will escape the position on which you’re charging.
Feature, huh …
That “feature” seems to make charging useless.
Or having to wait for the target to finish their movement so that I can use my gap closer …
I don’t know, rewarding slow reflexes doesn’t seem like fun to me.
Can someone really confirm that this is how charge is intended to be used? I really doubt this feature thing and still believe it’s a bug.
Its cuz the talent warbringer. The baseline charge roots the target insta and ull connect. If u talent warbringer it overwrites that one sec insta root and applies its own two second root but only when u connect. So if someone runs fast ull have the described issue, that u stop halfway thru.
