Today I spotted an icon in chat next to one of my fellow players guild messages.
It was a yellow outline of a head and shoulders. Google searching has been of no help.
Can anyone identify what this signifies, and why I might have never seen this before? (In default chat, even with add-ons disabled).
His character is remix, different realm and faction, so assume it’s related to one of these criteria?

Yeah .that is what it shows that his character is in legion remix . It is infact a bronze icon .similar to the currency you get while doing activity in legion remix
It’s not the timerunning icon. People in my guild are asking about it too and it’s appearing on characters that aren’t remix characters. I figured it was probably an addon thing.
Mystery solved…it’s denoting “recent allies” as seen in the new social tab
