Best guess is you got muted for abusing chat.

Chat disabled and re-blocks it if I log out

Hello hi, Moved this thread over to the Customer Support section and wanted to let you know we’ve seen more reports of this from players in the UK and are currently investigating. No workarounds at the moment unfortunately, other than to keep re-enabling it, but hopefully the underlying issue can be fixed soon!
