Chat turned off message in game , Bug?

I just found this on the US forums
At least someone knows what’s going on .
So I’ve gone through alot to sort this mess out when I really didn’t need to if blizzard communicated better lol

Since Tuesday’s farce with the HC servers every time I log in I get the “Chat Turned Off” message even though it was OFF before I loaded the game. This can then re-appear during normal gameplay irregularly and at times spammed 3 or 4 in a row.

It happens every time /reload ui with NO ADDONS.

I put a ticket in and had 3 GM’s assist telling me to do the same steps i even uninstalled the game and reinstalled it deleted all my add-ons and still this issue remains has to be a fault due to the patch i am on classic era this problem is so annoying so much i have decided to cease playing till its fixed

I also have this bug and it seems to be getting worse. Happened 6 times during a MC run, once causing me to miss a loot roll. Very annoying

I’ve made a new macro to help with this!

It will get rid of the dialog and enable chat in one click

/click StaticPopup1Button2

Yes this message pops up at random and sometimes repeatedly in quick succession. It is very annoying. I hope they solve this issue soon. No point in playing hardcore with this going on. No point doing anything that requires the toon should survive to complete.

Now guild chat don’t work as well as the above.

If blizzard are looking at this- I also have this issue on classic era. Have been in touch with the team, followed instructions but no luck in resolving the issue. Seems to be install - agnostic.

there are serveral bugs for chat that i saw them lately
sometimes when i whisper someone or whispering them in battle tag i cant see my own chats but they do.
and sometimes they answer me but i cant see it.

Thanks for sharing, Amaada. Going to mark this as a solution for now just for the visibility, though rest assured we continue to work on the underlying issue and a permanent solution. I appreciate the effort, but there is no need to make tickets for this as support wouldn’t be able to offer any solutions. The developers are aware of the problem and just need a little more time to implement a fix. Thanks for your patience in the meantime everyone!

I have exactly the same problem on Wow classic. Keeps popping up every so often and 2-3 times in quick succession when it does. Does it in dungeons.
I’ve only just started playing Wow again after a break of a couple of years and this is making me want to cancel the subscription again.

yep it’s a known bug
i’ve been through three GMs and none of them know how to fix it
i’ve submitted a bug report but haven’t got much hope
