Lately playing arenas has been incredibly discouraging. Trying to get rating at best you will break even unless you get lucky queues and shoot up in mmr. I’ve hit roadblocks at 2.6/2.7 and even 2.8 mmr playing versus people who are obviously scripting and don’t care. Some are even streaming it and flaunting the fact they won’t get banned. Others are streaming boosting “coaching”, for irl money and if you ask them, they’ll even give you a link to their site and you’ll recognize names paying irl money to get boosted by these r1 players. My hands literally hurt trying to keep up with someone who’s scripting, while he’s half afk and streaming listening to music. There’s 0 consequences to pay irl currency for boosting, gold and cheat programs. I feel like there’s no reason for me to even make this post that’s how little faith I have left in anything being done, but here I go trying anyways.
Good?
The more PvP players that leave, The better
Yes alot of high rated players using thirdparty software like AHK (auto hot key) and PQR(pre qued rotation) which are banned in all the arena private servers but somehow not in original blizzard servers and that makes 0 sense as they give huge advantage in pvp scenarios , some action is definitely needed here
The thing is, no matter how much players scream.
Blizzard will never admit that they are aware something like this exist.
Lots of Companies are like this tho, They are like this over on Blade & soul as well.
People constantly blatently cheating to reach high on leaderboards but never any acknowledgement or punishments from the management team
Wclogs actively fights against cheesed (cheated) parses and they are pretty good at it. If some random 3rd party website that just collects data from the game can manage cheating this well, a company such as Blizzard must be able to too.
Blizzard cannot even present an original feature like an arsenal with arena ladder, which could at least reduce some of the blatant wintrading. Blizzard is going half-hearted against bots, they punish arena wintraders in one season and noone at all the following. Their actions are inconsistent and its clear their classic team is either not really interested in a fair environment, or they are but dont have the manpower to address these problems consistently.
I personally believe that most of the employees are interested in making a good product, but it cannot be done because of incompetence and being low on staff.
I do find it odd the issues they seem to fix sometimes. It’s so random and I wonder how those issues got their attention lol. If it’s some dev just stumbling across a twitter msg, or wowhead comment, or maybe their kid plays and complained about how OP feral druids are in pve
