Maybe I’m a boomer and I don’t like change but I don’t like the new cheetah form. It’s a clown cat abomination and doesn’t even look like a cheetah or has the same charm.
The less I see of it the better.

^This. I have the cheetah glyph as I prefer it over the stag, but my choice is removed if the area is flyable… makes no sense at all.

idk looks like a cheetah to me.
A case of “reality is unrealistic” maybe? I think most people think cheetah are similar to leopards and other large cats but they don’t, they aren’t part of the panthera subfamily.

Trying it out on ptr it moves clowniss and looks too goofy with all the accessories. 
Might be that you don’t enjoy it but there are others who will, RPers in particular. If you’re not an RPer then I do not expect you to understand the value in it, but you’re encouraging restrictions rather than the freedom to shift into whatever you, like wherever you like, as your class.
The decision by Blizz to not enable druids to shift into a cheetah in flying zones is dumb, plain and simple.
I have seen its running animation on mmo-champ and I don’t see what you mean by goofy and clumsy. It is the new, same running animation that some feline creatures, including mounts, have in the game now. It looks crisp and realistic to me. shrug

Seems like a trivial issue to me. The new cheetah form looks objectively better thanks to higher res textures alone.
That is because all the other forms are also high res now and are simply objectively better-looking because of it. I understand the nostalgia behind older forms, but things kinda gotta move on now xD
The cheetah form is the last one in queue to receive an update. I think it deserves that after so many years.

They could have had a button like warlock demon summons which you click it and it has a list and then you choose the specific one you want…

going for the slower option makes no sense and nobody would do it willingly - so that’s why you will only see your cheetah form when in battlegrounds, dungeons and newer zones where flying is not available yet.
It makes no sense to use the treant ability either but it’s there and it can be used anywhere.
I am also surprised you’re just ignoring the players who are likely to appreciate druidic forms the most, which are RPers. They use all forms willingly as part of storytelling.
Something to take into consideration.

This has to be one of the dumbest replacements they have made in later years. Why not just add the “HiGh rEz” form in a glyph or something similar? This xpac is just a huge disappointment so far.

I’d just encourage players to suggest a change in-game by making use of the support features, among them of which is the “submit suggestion” or w/e.

Yes thats what i did now.
To all my druid friends go and give feedback ingame. maybe the us guys read that and give us this form in non-flying zones.
Just go into help page (esc menu) then the anub-arak symbol “send feedback or report bug”
