(For the person below: this character is a night elf who turned from the ways of her people to pursue a path of magical knowledge and power. She's calm, polite and a spends most of her time studying away from other people. Not exactly a villain but not far from it.)

I think this accurately portrays one who might have strayed, not to mention the slightly mystical tones matching the ideals of a Night Elf arcanist. The winding melancholic structure would represent the loneliness of the path.

The gnome appears to have some kind of 'crazy eccentricity' (why else would such a small creature be clad in armour and trying to stab somebody in the open? :P ), from what I can see through the name, race, and such, and it seems to pair up nicely, in my opinion ;)
