me and my wife are looking to start over playing as horde. After some research I’m between Draenor, Tarren Mill and Kazzak. We do a little bit of everything but mostly PvP. We want to be on one of the big servers, but I detest lag, and I have heard that Draenor has it in abundance (others say it’s mostly on expansion launch, others say it’s consistent) Kazzak – I have heard that it has the most toxic community ever, and Tarren Mill, well, I have heard little.
So Draenor has no lag? I remember reading that casting etc. has an inherit delay when compared to any other server. I will have the time to test myself after this new year, sadly. So any more feedback on this will be appreciated.
Kazzak seems to be a no-go, while impossible to dodge completely…we would like to minimize excess drama and toxicity.
Every realm has had lag in the zones, which are sharded and shared. I tested an incident a month or so ago where I saw crazy server lag in Nazjatar on a toon from Magtheridon while there was none on a toon from Draenor.
This zone lag has nothing to do with the server, and everything to do with the coalescence created by the CRZ at the time.
During 8.2, this zone lag showed up especially when there was an Invasion on in the zone.
But I haven’t seen any lag on Draenor, that is related to Draenor, since the early days of BfA.
I suggest as many posters have already said Dreanor for Horde most Horde players are already there you will have no problems grouping there no mater if it’s PvP or PVE.Lag is universal it doesant just happen on Dreanor.
@OP if you are interested in mostly pvp then the server won’t really matter. since like Deja explained everything’s sharded.
Your concerns should be one of these 3 things
1- Is the economy good?
2- Are there enough raiding guilds?
3- Is the server RP or not?
Tarren mill is know for being server with very big raiding guilds where most raiding aspirants go on horde since Method is there ( The top Pve guild atm ).
Kazzak is known for it’s toxicity but that’s because most of the players there are lone wolf pug players, Pug : Pick up groups is a kind of extreme space where toxicity is abit high due to various reasons, However the guilds in here are high quality and extremely good, it’s a good mixture of pve, different cultures and pvp with powerful economy.
Draenor is the go to horde place, most of the players I reckon are there, I never payed attention to servers unless I notice a pattern from the players of a server ( Hyjal and Ysondre for French etc ). So to describe draenor, it’s for normal horde players.
That’s my take on it, you should take everyone’s opinion with a pinch of salt however, since everyone’s personal opinions effect their judgement on the matter ^ _ ^
