Choosing a main for 9.2 - warrior vs hunter

Hello, as the title says I’m wondering what to play in 9.2 - I have to choose between warrior or hunter (i play fury, arms, BM and MM). What would you choose and why? My main target is PVE content, mainly mythic raiding and M+ dungeons.

I currently play all specs and enjoy all of them, but I have to choose because I’ll have limited time to play and will need to decide to focus on one class only.

Hunter for sure. Tier sets and double legos looking very juicy. Wanted way more in m+ too with a far better tool kit. Hero, multiple roots to help tank kite, immunity, knock back for certain affixes, tranq is god tier in multiple dungeons etc.

MMs set is going to be very strong for AoE and ST. With high burst which is brilliant for m+. BMs set is purely single target last I checked. Should be strong in raid but very average in m+.

BM Hunter. Always always always.

Because it’s the only choice! BM Hunter is life. BM Hunter is love.

I am personally switching from healer to BM hunter.

Why? Aside of the utility reasons allrdy stated by Chocoh, I want to hunt achivements, old and new alike, solo old raids, hunt some mounts, some nice rare pets, and even collect battlepets and try petbatteling again (which I haven’t done since it was introduced lol).

Also, while playing healer i keep bouncing back and forth between all healer classes, except MW - I always come back to the same spec of Hunter: BM

ON THE OTHER hand though, I never played Warrior. But from what I hear, people find them SO fun and satisfying, every raid wants at least one warrior on their team for the buff and Arms is Meta atm.
The only downside to war, can perhaps be that most guilds are all set on melee, and are looking for ranged. M+ is not really melee friendly, so pugs tend to look for ranged.
So if you do not allrdy have a guild/team, you might have a bit of a hard time.

But in the end, what really matters is that you play something you enjoy, and something you feel like paying your monthly sub for.
If I were you I would level one of each class to 48-50… or just even 40. You get the first 40 levels SO fast these days, and by that time you’ll have a pretty good feeling of which of them brings more joy to you :hugs:

Warrior.

its the answer to both questions.

The real answer is of course a shaman.

Yeah, their big weapons, cool animations and sound effects make every button press feel good. Charge and heroic leap are also awesome abilities. But yeah, they’re usually not very high in demand in PvE.

I heard that Gnome Warriors are going to OP in 9.2. You should be a Gnome Warrior.

main all of them

Warrior, why?!

Because you don’t want players saying that your pet does most of the work.

If they ever tell me that, I just say: ‘I’m so proud. I trained them incredibly well!’

MM Hunter. Just gut feeling. I don’t like the warrior playstyle, like having a pet to tank for me (I mainly do open world stuff) and I like ranged classes.

Lack of healing for warriors also sucks.

Go for warrior. Fury will be strong since you’ll basically get a massive reck uptime!

Hunter. Why? Your main focus is PvE and now there’s a ton (and I really mean a ton) of melee looking for a spot in Raids and M+.
In M+ Hunter brings BL, Binding, Soothe and an immunity, although they are pretty squishy.
In Raids you are ranged so that’s that.

You should go for what’s more fun for you, but I assume you don’t really have a preference between the two you have listed. All might depend on which on those two role, that is ranged or melee, you like the most.

BM Hunter - but beware, after some time it starts to feel clunky

I switched my main from warrior to hunter to find a guild that needs range dps in the roster and to pug M+ contents.

If you main warrior, it is much harder to be accepted in M+ and mythic raid.

If you search, you will notice guilds need range dps especially balance druid and fire mage.

Obviously and only warrior
