Yea as long as you’re happy and you’re not hurting anyone you do you. Also many people have more than one main for various reasons.

In my opinion nowadays you don’t really need to have a main if you have somewhat time to play.
I played DK for nearly four years till this season; switched to my first character on this account, after three months of not playing my DK I started playing it again. I decided that I’ll just play both characters.
You can have two or even three character decently geared and switch according to your mood or what you want to play.

The other option is to play fotm, fotm specs usually are not overwhelmingly complicated to play and they are top at what they do; you can switch every season because, eventually, those fotm specs get nerf.

I’d prefer playing a main character instead of a main class. You could learn new classes (or professions wink wink) with the same time investment it needs for a new character to level and gear.

I strongly dislike going through all the quests and loops again with another character. And I’m saying that actually liking quests and the (open) world.

This is nonsense. The reason I can’t commit to a permanent main is because everything I play feels different and I can’t give up one fun thing to commit totally to another fun thing.

This is probably one of the most alt-friendly expansions in recent history. So honestly just go ham and “main” more than one class. If there is an expansion to do it, its this one.

I asked myself why i cannot stick with one main and i realize the reason is simple, wow feels different depending of the content im playing, i am tecnically still playing wow but it’s a different game, for that reason.
I like the way rogue fights in pvp but i hate rogue in M+.
I like how healers like shaman play in m+ but i hate in pvp and raid.
I like unholly dk in raid but not so much in pvp.
I like druid to quest in the open world pvp. this is all wow but they make wow a completely different game.

That’s my main factor when choosing a main. I think 2H swords are the coolest in game so…
