Choosing an alt

Hey guys,
I was thinking about making an alt.
My question to you guys is, what class do you guys enjoy the most and why?

everythings fine apart from rogue and hunter and sp, all very boring.
elem shammy (so many abilities) is my pref, then fire mage (extremely proccy) then retri cos theyre sickeningly op

You can do class trials. Go and mess around and see what you like.

Im enjoying this warlock, even started a new one on horde too to level up lol. I can’t say why other than rotation seems fairly easy to keep on top of for a noob like me and I have a pet that can take damage for me.

However, what I like may be completely different to what you would enjoy for example I dislike mages a lot and have never got past lvl 25 with one but others love them so I echo Puny and say do some class trial and see what fits you best.

It kinda depends on what you want though. Like, my first ever character was a rogue but after playing that for a while I got fed up of being melee and wanted to try ranged and I also wanted a big pet so I went with a hunter as m first alt and I still play that now, when I knew I wanted a void elf I tried a few classes and fell for warlock but I also have a druid to try healing with 1 day.

We can’t really help if we don’t know what you like or want from an alt if you see what I mean :slight_smile:

Well, I would say paladin, but then that wouldn’t help very much :grin:

If you want a change of pace I would recommend monk or demon hunter. They play very differently from pally. Both are very fast, but monk is both more difficult and more engaging. It’s also a hybrid, so if you are used to changing specs on the pally and like healing, monk would be a better fit.

I love my demonhunter, i’m always in tank spec when i do random stuff and switch to dps when i pvp etc so it’s nice to be able to switch it up.
And the mobility is something i’m having a hard time letting go of lol.

But if class trials didn’t help you get an idea of what you like i don’t really know how we are supposed to help :thinking:
It all depends on what playstyle you like personally wich we can’t possibly know.

The only characters I enjoy playing are my paladins and I have a whole army of them.

Dps: balance, rogue, Dh
Tank: bdk/protwarr/monk
healers: Druid,monk,disc

got 8 120s, 6 of em are above 385… these are the classes i play, i just raid with 2 toons tho the rest is for m+

You’re not ready to make an alt then unless you know what you want from the new class. If you can’t help yourself then no other person on this forum is going to be able to.

I personally can hardly play a class that is not a hybrid because I feel it inflexible. The only exception to this rule is Hunter because I leveled one up for progress purposes, and BM can actually help in with healing with a spirit beast.

If melee does not work out for you I personally recommend giving a try to a ranged spec. Did you think on trying Balance druid out? It is not rocket science to do the rotation but it has a bunch of extra utility packed on it, has nice druid conveniences like instant forms among other things. In case it does not work out for you druids still have 3 other specs to choose from (melee dps,tank,healer.)

In the end it is only you who can make this choice for yourself. I personally like paladin (all three specs) and my monk (all three specs) though I mainly tank with them.

hunter hands down

-only ranged class
-demon hunters larrping as cyclops dont count
-also dabbles in melee
-not furries like druids
-get a choice between that weird dooomsday prepper that lives innawoods/ Elmer Fudd/ crazy cat lady who maims people by throwing cats at them
-either way you get a free heal, two traps that cc and slow, bubble hearth and stealth
-not stuck in the edgy teenager stage like warlocks and death knights
-assuming your not hunting wabbits you get to go out and choose a free tank
-monks think there hot sh!t because they can Vulcan death grip you, but when has kung fu ever stopped a speeding bullet?
-you also put shamans to shame by the amount of times you miraculously come back from the dead by your own hands
-sure you have some of the crappiest tier gear designs but at least you get to dress up as a shaman and troll in pvp by standing still and pretending your an afk resto
-did I also mention every piece of loot in the game is yours by right of being a hunter?
-you get to troll rouges in pvp by spamming flare around healers, yes that’s right! Hunters counter the most obnoxious class in wow and in the process become even more obnoxious than rouges! You just cant stop us!
-you are a glorious wearer of chain mail, that can block mighty blows instead of the pajamas mages wear(and probably set fire to) incidentally you don’t have to worry about that either
-Get to shoot fireworks out of a bow, yes that is as fun and dangerous as it sounds
-your tank can also offspec healer and heal you as its tanking! Take that paladins!
-you can be Aquaman and command animals to stampede on your enemies by the power of pure thought
-You are also Alfred Hitchcock, commander of very angry birds who will attack any who displease you
-you are also 1/16th Cherokee and can use the spirits to have cool out of body experiences anywhere within sight
-you are also an Olympic gold medalist is the reverse long jump. warriors cant even jump backwards smdh
-haha priest what? I cant hear you over the sound of my pet doing everything you do and more
-basically all other classes are crap and hunters are the gods of wow, don’t listen to their jealous fake news campaigns!

Druid is a great class to have fun with, can be any role you want - melee dps, range dps, a healer, a tank, with all the options of shapeshifting, with instant flight form which is great for gathering stuff, which is great for arenas and in PvP especially as a flag carrier, and which is doing good in most of the specs in PvE cept as feral and tank in mythic + atm I think if you are looking to get at the top with it.

Warriors have a really good feel to them whilst leveling. Level a dwarf fury warrior with 2 hammers, then watch that little angry man rip apart his enemies.
I never felt as badass as i did when i leveled a warrior (level 20) is when it really picks up.

Hahaha you know how to sell hunters, I used to play one back in the day, always had a lot of fun.
Still as good as it used to ?

I really enjoy shaman (resto and elemental) and druid (resto/boomkin).
