Chromie Ruined my day! (teleported out of shadowlands campaign)

This is mostly just to vent.

So i just came back to wow after a very long hiatus.
Last time subbed was for classic and last time played retail was when BFA came out.
I levelled an Evoker to 70 in dragonflight - much fun was had.

So then i thought i would catch up with the story of shadowlands on my old main - my Pally sitting at lvl 50 - due to the crunch sitting in BFA epics all ilvl 60 - i thought i could atleast update my gear and see what Shadowlands was about

So happily playing along in shadowlands - just getting through Bastion and then Boom - Chromie pops up and tells me i’m needed in the ‘present’ - i kinda just ignore her cos im deep in my campaign.
Then i hit 60 and get teleported out!

Most of my gear is still ilevel 60 and completely interupted the story. Can i get back to it?
How do I update my gear if i can’t play the previous expansion?

Just a bit annoyed by it all.

I once made a thread asking for 10 to 70 in all expansions, and not just all expansions to 60 and then you are forced to level in Dragonflight.

Your day is ruined because of this cruel system that forced you out of your fun /grrr

How am i meant to gear up from my ilvl 60 gear before i go to dragon isles?

don´t worry about this, Dragonflight is nothing when it comes to ilvl. you get gear as you do quests

Yeah, Chromie is rude like that.

But am I missing something? Why can’t you just continue Shadowlands if that’s what you want to do? Just go back to the portal, to Oribos, and continue?

Yeah, i’ve come to realise thats the only option - gonna have to get a bit whomped earning some pieces.
AH is a no go. items range from 1600 - 4000gold :frowning:

I enjoy the new expansion on my main but I’d love to level my alts to 70 in other expansions for a variety. I levelled my second alt from 60-70 in Forbidden Reach by killing rares. Now less and less people are killing those so I’ll have to find some other solo activities for my third alt to get her to 70. I just don’t want to play through the Dragonflight campaign again. I need variety.

They are moving this up to 61 in the next patch I think.
Although the stupid teleporting out will still be there as far as I know.

Yes, you can go back to pick up where you left off. Although you’ll get quite low xp for a level or two then no xp at all after that.
You’ll see the story but won’t get any higher than around level 62.

You’ll get gear questing in SL. If you go to Zerith Mortis you’ll get ilvl 233 gear from WQs.

You can do Archeology and pet quests during your travels which gives a decent amount of xp. Of course that isn’t for everyone though. :slightly_smiling_face: My current level is from doing Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor and currently doing Outland.

Level 64 now, not 62. Didn’t update here I guess.

I think they’re from 50-60 in there without Chromie Time, so you should honestly just be able to go back there.

I wonder about quest status though.

Just do some DF questing and you’ll soon get gear.
