I made myself a pandaren. He is a monk. That monk is lvl 15 and just arrived in OG. Now I wanted to play through everything in a chronological order to get a better understanding of the lore. So I went to chromie and chose Cataclysm.
The quest send me to the command board and left me with no follow up quest. The command board shows 3 “classic” zones.
Now is that because cata content is lvl30+? Do I have to level those zones first to get to the cata campagin and is there even one?
there is a cataclysm campaign, but its also linked to the default azeroth… if you want the cataclysm content i dont actually remember where it begins its been too long lol … but it does exist.
Cataclysm is Classic revamped was then it goes to Cataclysm zones. At 30 should be able to start quests to the other zones. Traditionally we used to start either Mt Hyjal or Vash’jir but due to the nature of Chromie time I believe you can start in any of them.
Is the Far Seer up in org for you where the Cata portals are located?
The true Cata zone (as in not the Classic ones revamped) have more-or-less zone specific stories with a theme rather than a campaign start to finish.
Back then you started in Hyjal or Vashjir, then moved to Deepholm or Uldum and then finished up in Twillight Highliands. Usually back then it would take roughly 2.5 of these zones to level to max. These days with squishes and xp nerfs I don’t know how many zones it would take.
It was quite good for alts as you could level 2 alts with little overlap and then other alts could mix and match the bits bits you liked and skip the bits you didn’t.
