Please can you make it so Chromie will also scale down players to relevant expansion levels?
I would really like to take my Druid back in time to a previous expansion to finish the levelling at the correct level instead of steam rolling everything.
Please make this possible.
Also what’s the deal of kicking you out of Chromie time as soon as you hit 50.
Please give the players the option of how they would like to play the game.
I want that, but they also need to add the option to replay quests. In some way both things, scale down and replay quests, could be done with Shadowlands. Because all the content scale from level 10 to 50 if we Pary Sync with a level 10 character from a Trial Account we should scale down to 50 and being able to replay all the expansions.
But it would be great to have the option to do this without using another account for Party Sync. Blizzard has already the teach, now they just need to allow us to use Party Sync being solo. Of course in that case it won’t make sense to call it Party Sync, maybe they can call it New Game+.
New Game+ is a system used in mane RPGs since decades ago for a system to start again the game story with an existing character, the name probably predates both FF14 and WOW.
My question is can high levels access it and how does it work?
I’m currently levelling some Alts before prepatch and whilst I’m leaving a couple to experience exiles reach, some I figure I may as well level now. But I get to 110 and I have BFA fatigue so park them. Will they be able to access chromie for last few levels?
If so, how does that work given they’ve done the starting bit for most expos and first zone or two? I mean if like to be able to go back and do more of Pandaria for example…unclear where it will start me?
So I just took my 80 rogue onto the beta.
It down levelled me to 30, I locked xp gains and then went to see chromite and she offered all the zones to do downscaled.
I don’t think it’ll do it at 120 or 50 as will be. But 110 would allow it I think.
Just remember as soon as you but 50 it boots you out and you join the rest of everyone else.
Bit annoying, as for me I’d rather it keep you at 50 until you decided to leave chromite time cause you’ll soon outlevel everything.
It’s so annoying the way they put up fences like this. The walled garden and steamroller blitz approach to game design, which is increasingly on a patch basis as much as an expansion one.
Ok make it so you don’t gain XP, fair enough, but at least let us scale down so we can finish and play old content for its own sake and not rewards.
I suspect it’s pure ego-- they don’t want people to be able to play previous expansions when Shadowlands is out. As if that’s going to happen in any even remote numbers.
It’s absurd because they must be frustrated by the extreme rate in which players consume content and get bored, yet they completely enable this by making EVERY SINGLE drop of content from the last patch completely irrelevant.
Yes OK, submit to their ego by making it so 9.1 and maybe 9.2 forces players into Shadowlands and such, but surely a year in give people more options to play around in the WORLD of Warcraft rather than the World of Shadowlands/Battle for Azeroth.
I suspect the same, except I’m left wondering why that is even a problem, as long as they have people subscribed and enjoying the game, why does it matter which part of the game it is to them.
As I say, Blizz often make some really wierd decisions.
They seem to have this need to have total control over what players can and can’t do, rather than just keep the whole game open to enjoy. Gates here, walls there, hurdles to jump, or just completely removed content.
