So.Instead of Chromie time being up to 60.
I would like it to be unlimited.
Easy change that would mean allot.
I would have Loremaster achive just by playing with classes i like.

Chromie time is until 68. I think they will always make you level the last part in the current expansion. We do see the suggestion come up so now and then on the forums though.
Can a player lock their exp gains while in Chromie time to do everything in that mode? Or does locking exp kick the player out of Chromie time?

Yes, you can, but you also lose out on character progression.
You know what i dont like? I start xpack,play quests,and then it gets under my skin,and i play some more,then,a wall,cant progress no more,have to get out and do last xpack.
Puting down your own content for newer content is not the way.All should be relevant,even now.Cmon blizz please.Let me chose where i want to level fully from all xpacks.
I have a vulpera that is permanently stuck in BfA time for BfA related horde achieves.
In BfA there are quite a few Horde only achieves and some meta achieves even require both the ally side of Bfa, which i have done, and the horde side to be completed.
Essentially play the BfA game fully from start to finish on both ally and horde. Its a massive ask. Once that is done some meta achieves even go further and demand that you get max level reps for the zones. Only then do the parts of the meta achieves even unlock.
Last week i got around to doing some of them.
I accidentally allowed it to go past the point that you get prompted to go to “the dragons isles”. So now this character is roaming Bfa as a nearly max level. I dotn care anymore. I did BfA on so many alts i have no issues with doing it yet again as max level. It makes it easier and the grind is far less.
While i did do some TWW dungeons to get the gear that character will never step foot outside of BfA content.
You can do it that way and it beats the painful grind that limiting, or stopping your xp gains, can cause.
It’s actually up til 69. But you have to abandon the war within quest that thrall automatically gives you.
Do that and you can enter chromie time again.

You can lock XP at any level 69 or below. I chose 68 to avoid silly jokes.
I did all of loremaster in chromie time at 68. Was fun.
Making chromie time scale level and ilvl till maximum is a no-brainer
there is no argument against doing this

I started my hunter from scratch, and it was horrendous. I wanted to go through all the quests I could without any exp bonuses (I understand you letting people do end game content faster which is okay) but I outleveled starting zones in two hours and finished leveling at the evening of the same day. I completed only three zones, and other content became gray for me.
I tried going wod today to unlock something that I didn’t finish when it was relevant and stumbled across issues that makes me unable to do so (there are quest require damage creature to 45% and traps that works only on damaged beasts but even completely nude I deal millions of damage to any mob there).
I don’t use the mode myself so I’ll bow to your experience. I was going by the support file.
I’ll double check just to be sure. But I’ve been level 69 in chromie time before.
If we’re lucky, I’ll have a level 69 now and it won’t take long to check. XD

How do i lock XP?
Each faction has an NPC to lock experience

There is a toy called a foam sword. It hits the mob but does not kill it allowing whatever needs to be trigger to trigger. I used this on my loremaster journey a lot.
The toy is easy to get. Cant remember how but look it up. You will use this a lot if you are on your way to total quest completion.

Theres npc in stormwind you buy the foam sword from him
I had to use mine the other day for some quest, I one shot the mob and I was supposed to weaken them. So I was like okay foam sword, this is your time to shine.
