Chromie time

Just got done leveling a character to 50.

As soon as I hit 50, I received the message “Timewalking Journey Ends In…” and a countdown. A few seconds later I am back at stormwind. I wanted to go through some older mythic raids for mounts and items ext, but now chromie does not give me the option to change time zone. Now she says “The Situation in icecrown needs you”

If anyone could help I would be very great full

Chromie time is over for you the moment you hit 50. Only way to return to it is by leveling a new character or any character sub 50. However you can still enter all previous xpac raids. In Chromie time those raids would just wreck you.

Edit: Ye as Altash said, the thing with Icecrown is because Shadowlands sends you there as part of its intro. And because Icecrown was under attack during the pre patch.

You no longer need Chromie, you can go to the old zones as you please. Icecrown is the opening of Shadowlands, it’s just trying push you along the campaign to get to new content.

If you wanted to do a Mists of Pandaria dungeon / raid then you simply take the portal to the Jade Forest from your capital city portal room and fly to the dungeon / raid entrance out in the world.

Ohh I understand, So the only way to get older items and mounts from raids would be by doing them all solo? as a level 50 should that be easy?

You can do it with friends if you wish, but solo-ing is the more common method. You can’t queue for them anymore though you have to fly / run to the dungeons.
All dungeons and raids are very easy to solo up to Legion Mythic level raids.

All raids but Legion and onwards can be facerolled due to the legacy aura buff. This is not functioning properly in Legion content and is inactive in BFA content for the time being. Legion mainly depends on your ilvl, spec and boss encounter. Mythic that is ofc. Normal and heroic are faceroll even at legion.

Thanks so much, so I will indeed need to fly to the location of the raid or dungeon and go from there?

Yes, you just fly to the world location and walk into the big portal.
There is one exception, Looking For Raid.

The default raid modes are Normal and Heroic (Mythic came later, starting at the last MoP raid).

LFR is an easier mode (you’ll learn more at level 60)
If you want to do LFR for old content you fly to a specific NPC, not the raid location.

For example if you want to do Legion raids on LFR there is an NPC in Dalaran you talk to where you queue up for a wing, e.g. the first 3 bosses of The Nighthold.

LFR has different colour items, so it may come in handy to know that.

Yes.

All portals for Alliance are located in the mage tower (southwestern part of Stormwind) and west of stormwind keep at the circle of element thingymajingy (Cataclysm zones only). Portals to specific locations within an xpac are typically located in the Xpac Hub (Shattrath to Sunwell for instance, or Boralus to Nazjatar). There are some exceptions like the portal to Throne of Thunder in Townlong steppes etc.

I think you can still queue for lfr for any old raid(except bfa for now).

You can just go do the old mythic raids now. Why would u need chromie time for that?

Should be an NPC nearby you talk to who activates LFR, there’s at least one I know of who stands outside the entrance to Dragon Soul

cue sounds of screaming at the mere mention of Dragon Soul
