Tried the timeline for Draenor on one character, since left it.
Now every time a character goes into Draenor they have underneath the time (top right) a box with a skull and 5 under it. Mouse over it and it says ‘Normal difficulty 0/40’.
Funny thing is just the one character used the timeline and now all characters have that box when in Draenor, even the characters on another server.
Anyone know what this is about? Or have the same issue?

It’s exactly the same symbol you get when in a dungeon with the skull and a number under it and in the same place.
The only problem is they’re not in a dungeon and it’s only effecting Draenor. Which, as I’d already said was the Chromie time region. All characters on the account regardless of server have the same issue.
It’s nothing to do with add-ons if anyone thinks it might be, as I don’t have any.
Well, I’m guessing since nobody has come forward saying they’ve had a similar problem, or know what the issue is. My only recourse is to raise a ticket.
Already bug reported it, before I made this thread.

Fairly certain Punyelf wanted to see the same as me which is well… Location, location, location.
A zone isn’t simply just one zone any more. It’s a series of overlapping instances. Like the entire WoD intro is pretty much a sequence of seamless public dungeons in a row loading in and out depending on your current quest.
So for all we know, for some random reason one or multiple of those have been flagged as an actual dungeon instance resulting in your predicament.
Or it’s just a addon bug.
Also support will just tell you to delete the wtf folder.

‘Location. location, location’ - As I said Draenor (WoD). The world content, the barracks across Draenor zones.
Re: add-ons - I do not use add-ons of any kind, never have never will. All I have on the PC that’s WoW related is what Blizzard supplies when you download the game and their updates that they supply. No 3rd party software added.
Just been in-game on one character to test out the Draenor zone changing:
Started off in the barracks the dungeon symbol was there. Left the barracks it was still there. So entered a mythic dungeon and the tool tip changed to mythic as expected. Then I left the dungeon and it had disappeared. Travelled to different Draenor zones it still not there. Went back to the barracks and it was back, went to the same zones as before it was still there. Enter mythic dungeon, the mythic dungeon one was present, left dungeon it was gone, back to barracks and it was back again.
The issue is account wide.

That symbol that appears in dungeons has been there for years, if you’re not seeing it then it’s most likely one of your add-ons that’s responsible.
See! Location matters and you have deduced that there is something wonky with the barrack.
So the barrack instance probably got a dungeon flag for some reason, and because the transition between open world instances is different from dungeon instances the flag doesn’t disappear.
Alternatively there might just be something bugging out the UI.
I don’t have an addon that changes the standard UI. However I’m not familiar with what you are talking about. I’m afraid without an image I can’t understand the problem
Can you provide a screenshot of the issue?
You can literally link it from anywhere, discord, imgur, twitter anywhere, just needs to be an image we can see.
That does indeed look like a bug, and bug reports don’t get replies (but totally still do them), there is no point making a ticket, a GM wont be able to fix a bug.
Yes thanks for that. That bug is somehow related to the Draenor Chromie timeline.
