Chronostatic preservation issues

Hi.

Been going into WSG this weekend for some rep grind/honor grind for rank 5. So have been testing chronostatic rune more in the pvp enviroment. A couple of issues I’ve started noticing with the fluency of the spell:

First issue: The wind up need a target. Meaning if the target dies during the wind up/storing of energy cast, it will cancel. Now this isn’t the biggest issue as long as you are casting it on yourself. However it seems unnecessarily clunky. I’m assuming it work like this as the second part of the spell needs a target, so if it’s too hard to remove/rework, I understand.

Second issue: If you get kicked/counterspelled etc. on the cast portion of the spell, it will lock ALL schools of magic. Reading the tooltip it clearly states to store energy from frost, fire and arcane. So locking all schools in that aspect seems logical. However it feels bad for a “master of elements” to get locked out of 100% of the toolkit.

It’s in my biased opinion that the cast should not need a target to complete, and should only lock out arcane spells. Hope people will discuss this further

First issue can be annoying, but mildly. Still, at least it can be played around against

As for the second issue, getting locked out on all schools is a fair tradeoff for such a strong heal. I’d even call it the strongest heal in the game right now
