Please add more gem options to the ring the ones that are there now are boring we should be able to add all the secondary stat options atleast if the other options are not viable for the class

Remove the ring. We don’t need borrowed power stuff that’s must have and will be annoying to farm. Dont force me to do content. Bad design. Also noncraftinf involved, why?

Overall: very bad. Delete.

stupid ring that will be broken in various ways (dmg, bggy, pulls randoms stuff etc.) we all knoe the quality work that blizzard is doing, so why implement something again that will be broken in any way

They can’t really win with this type of content. Either it’s a pointless piece of tat not worth even looking at or it’s OP forced content mandatory for all players.

Not sure why they even bother adding such things these days. Probably to give the dev team hired specifically for all those borrowed power systems something to do.

Oh nice another thing people will complain endlessly about.

The ring is happening whether we like it or not but what im trying to say is only certain classes will benefit from this at the moment if they add more gem options all classes will be able to enjoy the benefits this would give people less things to cry about

Then people will cry their eyes out over having to do content to get the ring, let’s be honest, there’s no right answer here, no matter what they do, there will be whining.

What a silly sausage take, if they followed this, we’d never have anything new ever again. No game is ever created free of bugs or issues.

Fun part will be, blizz implement, players will grind, and blizz will nerf the ring due to unwanted player power.

Personaly i would focus on the mogs.

TBH, If I were an itemization dev at blizzard, I would

  1. remove all upgrade tracks. SOurce is irrelevant, all gear incl leveling greens is upgradeable to maxleve if you can get the corresponding crests… so basically all gear from all sources is on teh “awakened” track from DF S4… doesn´t matter if you got your BiS trinket in LfR or from SK Mythic , it can be upgraded to the same level.
  2. remove all cantrip effects that are not on trinkets, period.
  3. Never introduce another legendary weapon into the game

But then people would be whining about their gear not being special enough because tehy can get the same item in LfR. THe majority would complain about being underpowered becasue, with all due respect, most people are carried by their gear and not the other way around, and the whining about not being able to get legos anymore would be the most epic Tearfest in teh history of the game.

Because no matter how you twist it, you can´t win, you can only try to make it as aceptable as possible for teh majority , which by definition also means mostly ignoring the complaints of any subgroup that comprises less than 5% of the total playerbase… no offense, but from a purely economical standpoint they would (and should) much rather lose the 5% “elite”, or even teh 20% “hardcore”, to these complaints than lose the 75% “casuals”, because the 75% are the ones that keep the lights on. :beers:

I’m beginning to think that having separate gear for the different modes might be a better way of doing things. I was against this in the past but now I think it might be better for the game. Or at least break off M+ gear into its own area a bit like PVP has its own gear.
M+ would have bonuses that mitigate some Affixes. Have +Speed to help with timers et al.

This would perhaps help with the players who gear in Delves and migrate to M+ bypassing lower keys and so don’t learn the mechanics etc.

we got new things and we all hated it. we went back to the game and people liked it.
the introduced the same ring in df and people hated it, on top it was first garbage, then too good, then made useless again.

yea great take

Who is “We all” and what new things?

borrowed power since legion.
majority hated it hence they removed it. now they start again…

Hate to break it to you but tier sets are borrowed powers and they existed since vanilla. Trinkets with fancy effects are borrowed powers as well.

People hated how central borrowed powers became in the Legion to Shadowlands era, how your class revolved around it, spending days upon days collecting artifact power, essences, legendaries, maxing conduits and so on. And when the expansion was over you had to say goodbye to half your passives and learn how your spec plays with an entirely new set of passives.

If this ring issent going to be bis as a 619 this ring is useless. are we gonna use this ring for 3 weeks when its fully upgraded, for then to change it in next patch?

However this hits players who enjoy doing various content, by requiring them to maintain different equipment sets; and it becomes additionally harder if they play various specs.

I would suggest that equipment caps out at an equal level everywhere, and instead a character’s performance in specific content is logarithmically enhanced based on participation/progress in that content.
