We were promised class changes as in balance for 9.1.5, we got some changes to aoe and that’s fine but where’s the actual balancing? We just got another PTR and there’s nothing except a change to a mage pvp talent.
I’m fricking tired of being bottom dps as enhancement, the aoe changes are only gonna make my spec look even worse than it already is in aoe.
Enhancement doesn’t need anything major, we just need to be looked at at least.
Every patch it’s the same BS “Oh there’s no changes for enh this patch, wait next patch when they do something major” then the following patch it’s “They’re not going to rework a spec until the next expansion” and the beta for the new expac rolls around and still we get little attention, or even better like for SL, they start a rework, give up, roll it back and leave us in a bad state for months without anything done.
I’m fed up with this cycle, our spec is bad, buff it, it’s not that complicated.
Look, Blizzard have some much more important game changes to make to various emotes to improve their PR looks in the face of the looming lawsuit.
Obviously, that’s much better for the game and deserves the attention over the class-balances.
maybe the old ways were better, woman work with woman, and men with men, same for schools, only have same gender jobs/schools. maybe also build citys just for 1 gender as well. we must protect our snowflakes!
Source ? I’m fairly sure we received next to no communication whatsoever when it comes to 9.1.5 content beside what is already on the PTR or about to be added.
Feels like you’re misremembering when or what they said it 'cuz afaik the only mention of class changes they gave us at any point of the PTR were about AOE changes and PvP, both of which are currently on the PTR.
Depends what you define as bad. Its just that Enha right now only serves one single purpose. To buff Warriors and Rogues in raids.
For M+ they pale in comparison to every single melee since they dont bring anything to the table that is comparable to other classes outside rogues in a severely limited group space.
Already changing how the windfury totem works or what it does would already tremendously buff Enha in regards of how attractive they are.
I couldn’t find the source but when I asked around on Discord I wasn’t the only one to remember reading class changes were in the cards for 9.1.5 but it seems those were just the aoe changes.
And they are also 2-5k dps below the other melee specs.
Yeah idc about that tho outside of raid and even there it’s barely a factor, the only spec that truly gains from WFT is arms and I don’t intend on having an arms warrior with me in every kind of content I do and I shouldn’t have to rely on that for my personal damage, I might aswell play arms myself at this point.
Sub rogues arent far behind. Arms gets aprox 5.5% st and sub gets aprox 3.6% st compared to a WW that gets roughly 0.6-0.7%.
DPS isnt everything that matters. Its the whole kit. The major reason why Enhas werent present in Nathria for instance. Their damage was absolutely fine but their Kit was absolutely horrendous.
Its a similar problem in M+ as their kit (support as well as damage design) isnt suited for it compared to other melees + they dont bring anything to the table.
In M+ dps is very much the most important thing you bring to the table and I’m tired of being held back because “WFT buffs the others” when it barely does.
Like I said, we don’t need anything major, more aoe dmg, lunge baseline and a couple of other things.
Right now we’re bottom tier in both raid and M+, the only aspect we’re still ok-ish is pvp.
I already adressed it. Its your entire kit that flat out sucks for M+ (The way your damage works is not suited for it.) and the current raid tier outside of buffing 2 specs and some certain scenarios. For instance if you would get Fury of Air back again and it dealing a good chunk of sustained AoE it would already be a god send for M+. ST wise Enha is within acceptable levels.
Unfortunately, until they stop implementing throwaway borrowed power systems that need constant fixing throughout an expansion, class imbalance will be a problem and all of us will suffer the dps roulette that is every season.
Class imbalance was always an issue way before tbh, it only got more accentuated from Legion onwards. There’s just too many parameters to adjust nowadays!
Both Enhancement Shamans and Unholy DKs were at the top during CN, now we’re scraping the bottom, whilst arms went the other way! The numbers behind the scene must be a nightmare to adjust! Mind you not “defending” or “justifying” them. Would just wish they’d sort out all the classes instead of implementing another bogus system next time around…
