I’m returning back to retail after playing it last in BFA and the only thing I keep seeing is how awful the tank shortage is and how as a DPS u wont get invited to any M+ or it will take ages to find a group.
So in that vein I’m wondering how bad is it truthfully? Will I be stuck in infinite que if I want to play rogue again or should I play a tank?
And how hard is tank in retail now anyway? I wanted to play brewmaster but people keep saying its the worst tank now aswell as being the hardest with infinite keybindings.
DPS always have a harder time joining groups than tanks or healers since they’re a dime a dozen and people are much more prone to pick meta classes and care more about ilvl than anything else. So unless you play a meta class with high ilvl you are going to apply to dozens of groups in hopes of being accepted.
Joining a guild alleviates it, there is also a discord for low pressure mystic runs to make friends in called No Pressure. There is a second one but I forgot its name x)
Prot Pala and Brewmaster are okay, but they are both lagging behind the other tanks with Prot being worse than BM. You can make anything work, it’ll just be harder to perform well and people even as they cry about the tank shortage are meta slaves when it comes to tanks, too.
I don’t play tank in this game as I do not enjoy it in WoW so I cannot answer how hard to play they are.
