I’ve never in my 12 years of playing WoW experienced a worse PvP in duels period, fury warriors, unholy DKs, arcane mages and Destro locks make me wanna throw up just watching them duel, the PvP in 1vs1 is so limited, there is nothing you can do except for pop cds and cast… cast as much as you can it doesn’t matter if you get interrupted or not, just cast with burst before your HP reaches 0.

I remember back in cataclysm I used to win rogues as affliction warlock for god’s sake, with succubus and kiting, now it’s just 3 buttons smashfest, really makes me feel disgusted playing duels.

Some people will say it’s just duels there are a lot of other things you can do in the game, well PvP in general is just doomed due to spell/ability pruning that started in WoD, I have spent atleast 70% of my time in MoP dueling outside orgrimmar, back when Durotar had 100 people dueling unlike now 5-10 people max.

Edit: I forgot to mention the extreme counter classes have against each other, an Affliction warlock will destroy any caster any time with 1 hand, while it’s near impossible to win a fury warrior or any melee with CDs

Game doesn’t support or balancing for dueling ever since they focused balancing on the most boring bracket which also resulted in class design dissolving to cater to a bracket., 3 vs 3.

I don’t think that’s the matter TBH, I think it’s because of PvE, because the majority of players had 50% of their buttons unbinded, Blizzard thinks by making the game easier they’ll get more players, which is obviously not correct, everyone needs a challenge to have fun, if things are this easy players will just get bored too quickly, even the worst of players

It started when they started removing niché abilities and things which many classes shared, prep/cold snap, multiple classes being able to cleanse or do x-thing. Anything which defined classes less.

Couldn’t agree more, classes were so much fun to play man, literally all classes were fun, I sometimes feel like im playing a MOBA like dota 2 or league of legends while playing WoW now
